Apple Pay Cash
New emojis are confirmed for iOS 11.1, but the company still hasn't confirmed one of the update's potential key ingredients.
Apple's new Apple Pay Cash platform was supposed to make it into the first version of iOS 11, but the company was forced to delay the highly anticipated feature. Fortunately, we probably won't have to wait much longer for it to arrive.
The company recently confirmed Apple Pay Cash (and person-to-person Apple Pay payments inside Messages) for late October. Apple employees are also reportedly testing the features on a special version of the iOS 11.1 beta. Put two and two together.
The arrival of Apple Pay Cash is exciting for a select group of people. A rather large group of people, but a group nonetheless.
That's because person-to-person payments and Apple Pay Cash are available only in the U.S. and they're only available on iPhone SE, iPhone 6 or later, iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation), iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 or later, and Apple Watch.
If you live in the U.S. and own a compatible device, get excited for iOS 11.1.
