Don't Expect Every Feature from the Beta to Make It

Don't expect every iOS 11 feature Apple announces on stage to make it into the iOS 11 beta for iPhone and iPad. On top of that, don't expect every feature in the iOS 11 beta to make it to the final iOS 11 release. 

Again, iOS 11 beta will be early software and early software is always subject to change based on testing. If Apple doesn't think a feature is ready for primetime it won't have any problem pulling back for additional poking and prodding. 

For instance, in 2015, the company pulled back app thinning, one of the coolest iOS 9 features for 16GB iPhones and iPads, due to an iCloud bug. The bug was eventually fixed with the release of iOS 9.0.2. 

The company also announced plans to transition iOS to its new APFS file system on stage during WWDC 2016 last year. The switch to APFS actually took place in late March with the release of iOS 10.3. 

What you'll see in early June probably won't be identical to the update that rolls out for your device later this year so make sure you don't get too attached to the changes Apple debuts on stage at WWDC and the ones it releases inside the iOS 11 beta.
