The iOS 11 update delivers a useful addition to Do Not Disturb that could help make your commute or weekend drive a little safer. Apple's new operating system comes with Do Not Disturb While Driving. Your iPhone will be able to detect when you might be driving. If it senses you're in the car, the device will automatically silence notifications to keep the screen dark so you don't get distracted. You'll also be able to send an auto reply to any contacts you have listed in your Favorites list. The reply will let them know that you're driving and that you'll contact them once you get to work, the beach, or wherever it is that you're going. This feature doesn't require CarPlay so you're good to go if you're in an older car that doesn't support it. | |||||||||||||
