So there are a few reasons to start feeling excited about what's to come. Here are a few potential iOS 12 disappointments. 

We already told you there's a chance the iPhone 5s gets iOS 12. Well, there's also a very good chance Apple leaves it behind on iOS 11.4. 

Even if the iPhone 5s gets iOS 12, there's a very good chance it'll arrive without the full suite of features. Updates for older devices are often stripped down due to hardware limitations.

And with iOS 12 supposedly focused on performance and reliability, an iPhone 5s iOS 12 update could be pretty bare bones. 

We also haven't heard anything about iOS 12 for the iPad mini 2 so there's a chance the aging tablet misses out on an upgrade. 

If you own a device from 2013, you should start tempering your expectations.
