We won't have an exact download size until the release date, but you can expect a large download given that iOS 13 is a brand new operating system.

You can expect long download times, especially right after the release, but the installation process will probably take even longer. 

If you're running older software, like iOS 12.3, your download will likely be bigger and your installation time will likely be even longer. This is because the features and fixes from the updates you skipped (in this case, iOS 12.3.1, iOS 12.4, and iOS 12.4.1) will be baked in. 

Once you pull the iOS 13 update from Apple's servers, you might notice a prompt asking you to "Install" the software right now or "Later." 

While most of you will probably want to install iOS 13 right away, others might benefit from scheduling the installation. 

If you do decide to schedule the iOS 13 update, you can choose to install it while you're sleeping or you can have your device remind you to install it at a later date when you've got more time to deal with it. 

If you do decide to install the iOS 13 update overnight, you'll have to plug your iPhone into a power source.
