iOS 9.2 Jailbreak Release: When We Might See It

Published

on

An iOS 9.2 jailbreak still hasn’t released, but here’s when we might see it.

There has only been one iOS 9 jailbreak release since the release of the new iOS version, which isn’t anything new compared to older versions, but it’s certainly disappointing.

An iOS 9 jailbreak was initially released back in October about a month after iOS 9 released, but the iOS 9.1 update came just days after the iOS 9 jailbreak released, closing up the exploits and officially killing the jailbreak for the latest version of iOS. Now that iOS 9.2 is out, there’s still no jailbreak.

Since then, we have yet to see a new jailbreak release, but many users are hopeful that we’ll see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, especially since we’ve been treated to a couple of rumors about the new jailbreak, whether or not they may be legitimate.

Unfortunately, no one is really sure when we’ll see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, but there’s a good idea that we’ll see it soon.

If you’re desperately waiting for the iOS 9.2 jailbreak, you can set up a notification that will alert you when the jailbreak arrives. In the mean time, though, here’s when we might see the iOS 9.2 jailbreak release.

First off, it’s important not to fall for a fake iOS 9.2 jailbreak, which are pretty easy to catch if you know some of the signs that point to a fake jailbreak.

Secondly, as for when we might see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak, there’s nothing set in stone and nothing has been made official yet. TaiG, Pangu, and other jailbreak dev teams usually don’t reveal information about their progress with jailbreak releases, so when a new jailbreak does release, it will likely be a surprise.

However, I believe we’ll see an iOS 9.2 jailbreak once iOS 9.2.1 releases.

iOS-8-Cydia

iOS 9.2.1 is currently in beta mode, with the second beta just recently released. It’s been a couple of weeks since the first beta released, but it’s likely that this second beta will be the last beta of iOS 9.2.1, so the final release of iOS 9.2.1 could arrive in as little as a week or so, but it likely might be two weeks or so.

Once iOS 9.2.1 is released, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the iOS 9.2 jailbreak release quickly follow. This means that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak release could arrive this month at some point.

Of course, a release sooner would be great, but the jailbreak community is well-known for its patience, and jailbreakers have had to a lot of waiting for new jailbreak releases in the past.

Of course, my prediction is nothing more than that. It’s an educated guess. No one truly knows when an iOS 9.2 jailbreak will release other than the people working on the development of a new jailbreak.

For the time being, just be patient. When an iOS 9.2 jailbreak is ready to release, it will most definitely present itself. Just have some patience, and sit back and relax.

Activator

One of the most popular jailbreak tweaks of all time is Activator, and it's easy to see why. Activator allows you to set up automations as well as shortcuts for all sorts of different actions, like automatically turning on your alarms for the next day and even changing songs using the volume buttons.

This is especially true now that Activator works on iOS 10, so you can combine it with everything that Apple added to iOS 10 and iOS 10.2.

AppDrawer

One of the best features of Android is the app drawer, where all of your installed apps appear when you bring it up. Something like this is awesome, since you don't have to have all of your apps on the home screen, and now the feature is on iOS through Cydia thanks to AppDrawer.

Browser Changer

Do you use a web browser on your iPhone other than Safari? Then it might be nice to actually change iOS's default browser to your preferred one using Browser Changer. This means that any links from other apps will now open in the web browser of your choice and not just default to Safari.

Bytafont 3

iOS 9 added a new San Francisco font that is still in iOS 10. If you're not a huge fan of it, you can use Bytafont 3 to change the font to whatever you want. The possibilities are endless here.

DeleteForever

Not a big fan of the Recently Deleted folder in the Photos app? While there isn't an iOS 10 Cydia tweak to get rid of the folder, you can at least bypass it altogether when deleting a photo.

DeleteForever will allow you to permanently delete photos with one swoop, rather than deleting a photo and then having to delete it again from the Recently Deleted folder.

Absolutely pointless article. We have been “on the verge” of a iOS 9.1/9.2 jailbreak for more than a month now, this is just silly. Jailbreak devs are/were lying in saying that they had a jailbreak, and these news reporting websites eat it all up and write up some misleading bullshit.

There are those of us that are more than grateful for any jailbreak offered. Not a single thank you above for the update regardless of an ETA.
Impatient Idiot readers missed the part where you said the jailbreak could arrive before the end of the month, but is an educated guess. Thinking clearly isn’t one of their skills.
