iOS 9.2 Update: 5 Things We’ve Learned in 21 Days

Published

on

Its been 21 days since the release of the first iOS 9.2 beta for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. And in that time, we’ve learned quite a bit about the next milestone upgrade for iOS 9. With a new beta now available, we want to take a look at everything we’ve learned, so far, about the iOS 9.2 update and release.

Believe it or not, its almost been a month since Apple released the first iOS 9.2 beta for developers. The public iOS 9.2 beta 1 came a day later for those in the public Beta Software Program.

Apple hasn’t said a word about the iOS 9.2 update letting its beta releases do the talking for it. And while the company is mum, we have learned a thing or two about the iOS 9.2 update, its features, and its release for iOS 9 users around the world.

iOS-9-12

With no iOS 9.1.1 update in sight, the iOS 9.2 is currently the only candidate to replace the iOS 9.1 update that Apple rolled out last month. iOS 9.1.1 or not, iOS 9.2 is the next big update for Apple’s iOS 9 operating system.

With the iOS 9.2 beta making progress today, we want to outline a few of the things we’ve learned at the three week mark. This updated roundup includes details about iOS 9.2 features, potential problems, performance, jailbreak, and more.

iOS 9.2 Release Date Getting Closer

iOS 9.2 Release Date Getting Closer

Today, Apple released the fourth iOS 9.2 beta for developers and beta testers. As expected, it's dubbed iOS 9.2 beta 4.

The arrival of an iOS 9.2 beta 4 means that the theory about a release alongside Apple Pay in Canada and Australia is all but dead. That doesn't mean that we don't have some idea about when to expect the public iOS 9.2 release date though.

Apple's making progress behind the scenes. It has released four iOS 9.2 betas in three weeks so it's clear that the company is pushing towards a public upgrade. The company has never gone beyond a beta 5 and we wouldn't expect that to change with iOS 9.2.

The iOS 9.1 release date came out of the blue after five betas and we could see the same from Apple's next milestone iOS 9 upgrade.

Wow… That list of bugs was kind of dumb. Is it really a bug when you swipe NCdown while calling Siri. Who would do both at the same time. -.-

Does anyone know why, after upgrade, most apps in App Store are unavailable to download on iPad mini
