iPhone 5 Pre-Orders to Begin on September 14th?

Published

Up until this point, iPhone 5 pre-orders were thought to begin on September 12th, tomorrow, the same day that the device should be announced. However, a report claims that Apple may in fact start pre-orders for the new iPhone on September 14th, two days after Apple’s launch event.

According to MacRumors, Apple may push pre-orders to Friday, September 14th, instead of holding them on the same day of the iPhone 5’s presumed launch.

A report last month claimed that Apple would start pre-orders on September 12th.

iPhone 5 pre-orders could begin on September 14th.

Evidently, parts of Apple’s sales support team are seeing staff increases for 6AM EST on Friday morning. The report claims that the early morning will see a significant amount of staffers while that will taper off into the afternoon. The whole day though is apparently going to see a large amount of staffers on duty.

This could mean that Apple is preparing for pre-orders to start around that time, or at the very least, on that day.

If true, this would be similar to last year’s launch of the iPhone 4S which saw pre-orders start a few days after Apple announced the device. Unfortunately, we won’t what to believe until tomorrow when Apple takes the stage and shows off its new hardware, presumed to the latest generation iPhone, the iPhone 5.

iPhone 5 sales are expected to be huge and those who want the iPhone 5 without a long wait will want to take a look at pre-ordering the device either through Apple, one of the iPhone 5’s carriers, presumed to be AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, or a third party retailer.

Apple generally makes all of these details known at its launch events so customers should know exactly when and where they can pre-order the new iPhone.

Apple’s next iPhone is expected to bring several changes to Apple’s iconic smartphone including, for the first time, a change in the size of the screen.

The iPhone 5 is rumored to have a taller design with a 4-inch display, 4G LTE data connectivity, a new processor, a better front-facing camera, a metal backing, a smaller dock connector, a slimmer design, and a new placement for the headphone jack.

Sources have told Gotta Be Mobile that the iPhone 5 release date is set for September 21st, matching an earlier report that suggested that was the new iPhone’s release date.

Iphone 5 is for sure the most awaited mobile phone. The launch was expected at the time and all we got was iphone 4s, which was one of the biggest disappointments by the Apple.

Anyway , this time, it the war of design as compared to the features. We are all aware of the features. People like to see some new and innovative design.

Weight will be a major issue, as in the previous models, the phone was heavy to carry in light pockets.
