iPhone 5 Release Date Pegged for Summer
The iPhone 5 rumor mill is in full swing once again as a new report from 9to5Mac, referencing a source within Foxconn China, indicates that the iPhone 5 is currently being prepared for production. According to that source, there are various models of the device being tossed around so at this point, it’s impossible to tell which of them is going to be the final version.
There are apparently some things in common across the devices and those are as follows.
Not one of these samples has the same form factor as the iPhone 4 or the iPhone 4S. That being said, there are no teardrop style iPhone 5 samples in the mix either. The samples are apparently symmetrical in thickness and bear shapes that are both thinner and wider.

They also supposedly have 4+ inch displays with at least one of them coming from the fine folks at LG. So, yes, if this pans out, it’s possible that we might finally see Apple stray from its comfort zone of 3.5-inches.
This doesn’t line up with a previous report that stated that the iPhone 5, with a re-design, would be launching in the fall of 2012, which would follow the release precedent set by the iPhone 4S.
The iPhone 5 is also widely expected to feature compatibility with 4G LTE networks here in the United States.

Apple fanatics will sell their soul for this phone. I see them going on eBay in the first week for literally thousands. Whats funny is that this phone sounds like every new android phone released since last year.

perhaps but Android is lacking compared to the iPhone. I can’t even send a video from the galaxy nexus and with its price range I should be able too! Samsung raves about the phones though i feel they could look towards apple for quality and usability. basic functions would be nice along with enhanced battery function. I want to have it all! if I’m emptying my pockets every year or two for new devices I’d like to enjoy the experience and not regret it!
Hope Apple comes out with something new the phone is getting boring.

I agree. I have had several android devices and battery life on those devices are a joke.. I switched to apple and never will go back!!!!!! Regardless of screen size I am willing to give up half an inch in screen size for better capability and battery life
