iPhone 5S Lines Already Forming, But Don’t Worry Too Much

Published

The first line for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C has formed ahead of Apple’s September 10th event with campers already staking out Apple’s flagship store in New York City.

In the build up to iPhone launches, we often see campers stake out Apple Stores for personal reasons and for publicity. We’ve seen campers stake claim to a spot several days before an iPhone release in order to secure an iPhone though it appears that campers have taken it to the next level with the rumored iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

It appears that campers have already taken their place in line at Apple’s Manhattan store in New York ahead of next week’s iPhone 5S launch event. The campers, who are from Cincinnati-based SellYourMac, found a place in line today and are, according to MacRumors, hoping to camp out for the rumored September 20th iPhone 5S release date.

The guys from SellYourMac told Gotta Be Mobile that they are hoping to get their hands on both the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C if and when Apple releases them to the public.

Lines will likely form in other parts of the United States and in other parts of the world ahead of the iPhone 5S release, though, we don’t expect a majority of campers to arrive until the actual release date is announced.

Apple will likely offer pre-orders for those that don’t wish to wait in line meaning those who are looking to get the iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C need not worry about heading down to an Apple Store this early. iPhone 5S pre-orders have been pegged to start next week ahead of release.

Apple is widely expected to be debuting new iPhones at its September 10th event and both the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C are heavily rumored to be on the docket.

The iPhone 5S is expected to replace the iPhone 5 as the company’s flagship smartphone and do so with a new camera, improved processor and a fingerprint reader. It’s expected to keep the same design and the same 4-inch display.

Apple’s iPhone 5C is expected to touchdown as Apple’s cheap iPhone and come with a plastic shell in several colors, a 4-inch Retina Display, Lightning port and an 8MP camera. It, like the iPhone 5S, is expected to run iOS 7.

It’s not clear where the iPhone 5C, the C likely standing for Color, will fit in to Apple’s lineup. Rumors however suggest that it could replace the iPhone 4S as the company’s cheap on-contract option with the iPhone 5 dropping down to $99 on-contract to round out Apple’s trio of iPhone models.

Exactly, Samsung changes a few software things & gives it a bigger screen and it’s awsome, iphone already did that with iphone 5 and the Gsheep talk crap. The iphone 5S will be a new ios UI, upgrade to processor, more ram and now fingerprint sensor, no gimmicky crap nobody uses just simple tools for everyday use. Samsung released a watch that was already released and will only work with Note 3 wow innovation a broad use of product I’m impressed, NOT. IPHONE4EVER!!!

It’s all for publicity obviously. And apparently it’s working as even this article states the company’s name that they work for. Free advertising.
