iPhone 5s Stock Now at Full Strength

Published

on

Call it perfect timing for Apple, but according to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, iPhone 5s stock has reached 100% availability, meaning that inventory is at full strength for the first since the device’s launch back in late September. This is just in time for the holiday shopping season, as consumers are right in the middle of their Christmas shopping and might be looking for an iPhone 5s for that special someone.

Munster said on Monday that his every-two-weeks checkup of 60 Apple retail stores in the US found that the iPhone 5s hit full strength as of last week. He says that “supply has improved dramatically from 24% two weeks ago and 8% at the beginning of October (including unlocked phones)…Online lead times have improved to 1-3 days ship time.”

100% availability means that all color, capacity and carrier combinations for the iPhone 5s are in stock and ready to be sold, so if you’ve been waiting on getting the gold version of the new smartphone, now is the time that you can get one without feeling the anxiety of fearing they’ll sell out quickly.

In late November, we reported that iPhone 5s stock was almost at 100% availability, so it was only a matter of time before we saw it hit the three-digit percentage number, but were unsure whether or not it would come in time for Christmas. Indeed it has, and you should be able to pick one up at a local Apple Store without a problem. As for online stock, the flagship has a ship time of 1-3 business days.

Compared to the last couple of months, the iPhone 5s was only at 31% availability just a few weeks ago, and just 10% in early October. Initial supply of the iPhone 5s were stretched extremely thin on launch day, and online orders sold out within minutes when trying to buy the gold model, and other color and storage options sold out within hours. Shipping estimates slipped to 7-10 days just hours after the phone was released. It then quickly slipped to several weeks before users would get theirs on their doorstep, but thankfully, that’s no longer the case.

Ya they should be in stock, all the drama of it’s done plus all the glitches drew people away, my 3GS still works great and is the original one from launch day!! I was tempted to upgrade but nope, plus still have my jailbreak and runs like new, also my sony Xperia Z1 as my non contract on t mobile, no need for a 5S maybe the iPhone 6 if they go 2 gb ram and a larger 5 inch screen, that may?? Make go upgrade??
