A new iPhone 6 video brings iPhone 6 rumors to life and shows what Apple’s new iOS 8 release could look like on the new iPhone.

As we move further away from WWDC 2014 and closer to the fall, we’re starting to hear more and more about Apple’s 2014 pipeline and the products that the company’s Eddy Cue says represent the best that he’s seen in his 25 years at the company. Rumors point to the arrival of an iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iWatch, new MacBook Air with Retina Display, and two brand new iPhones that are currently dubbed iPhone 6.

iPhone 6 rumors have been rampant in the first half of the year and they have continued to point to two new iPhone releases, a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and a larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 that’s expected to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The devices are expected to feature a number of upgraded features including a redesign that looks and feels a whole lot different than the iPhone 5s design.

iPhone 6 design rumors and leaks continue to point to a new iPhone that’s much larger than the 4-inch iPhone 6, is extremely thin, and comes with some tweaks including rounded edges and a curved body. The iPhone 6 models that have leaked out numerous times are said to be approximations rather than exact replicas but they’re likely going to be as good as gets before launch.

A new iPhone 6 video showcases these design rumors once again though this new video, from Tom Rich, adds a bit of a twist. While he is using the same 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model that we’ve seen emerge several times over, his video shows us what iOS 8, Apple’s new software update, could look like on an iPhone with that screen size.

The video shows iOS 8 running on the larger screen and it shows what that might look like next to iOS 8 running on the iPod touch fifth-generation, Apple’s smaller 4-inch iPhone. While the video doesn’t go too in depth with the iOS 8 preview, it does offer an early glimpse at what consumers could encounter later on this year.

iOS 8 is confirmed for the fall and new iOS software always accompanies new iPhone hardware to shelves. iPhone 6 release date rumors center around the month of September with the latest rumors pointing to a dual release inside the fall.

Initially, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 release date was rumored for later in the year though it’s now thought to be arriving at the same time as the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. Sources agree that both devices will, at the very least, be out ahead of the holiday shopping season. September 19th has been thrown around as a possible release date but that remains unconfirmed.

Both iPhones are expected to feature iOS 8 and they’re also expected to feature a number of other improvements to help them compete against top Android smartphones like the Galaxy S5 and LG G3.

The iPhone 6 release date will likely arrive within a week and a half of a special event .

Rumors suggest that the iPhone 6 will feature an upgraded rear camera with image stabilization, a brand new A8 processor that will help with performance and battery life, and Touch ID fingerprint technology. The larger iPhone 6, the 5.5-inch model, is rumored to feature 128GB of internal storage space. 128GB rumors have swirled around before so this is far from confirmed.

Analysts believe that while the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 could retain the company’s usual $199.99 starting price, the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 could command a price that’s $100 more expensive. Samsung charges $299.99 for its Samsung Galaxy Note which would put the larger iPhone on the same level. iPhone 6 price rumors, like all iPhone 6 rumors, will continue to swirl around as we head deeper into the year and closer to an inevitable iPhone 6 release.

Looking forward to seeing the latest developments as I have been an Android fan for many years, currently enjoying the Samsung Note 2.

If you don’t use your iPhone for heavy gaming and media consumption, then there is not much point in getting the larger model. It’s important to figure out your needs first and foremost before spending the extra $100 which you might later regret. I’m assuming you are comfortable with both sizes, right? How the device feels in your hand is also an important consideration.
