Expect iOS 11.1

Apple's iOS 11.1 update is currently in beta ahead of of an unknown release. The company hasn't outlined a firm date, but there's a good chance this upgrade will launch alongside the iPhone X. 

The iOS 11.1 update is the company's first milestone upgrade for its new operating system. As such, it's expected to deliver a nice list of new features, fixes, patches, and enhancements. Among them, new emojis for the iOS keyboard. 

It's not available in the current iOS 11.1 beta, but there's a very good chance iOS 11.1 will deliver the company's Apple Pay Cash solution which includes person-to-person Apple Pay payments in Messages. Apple employees are reportedly testing the service in iOS 11.1.

Apple recently listed Apple Pay Cash with a late October launch on its Apple Watch splash page. Its since changed the listing to "fall," but don't be surprised if that late October release date holds. 

We expect iOS 11.1 to roll out in the near future and there's a good chance the iPhone X is running it out of the box.
