The LG V40 (64GB) is $900-980 depending on which US carrier you buy it from. The Galaxy Note 9 is $999 for the 128GB model or $1,249 for the 512GB variant. So, they're roughly the same price, but you are saving a little bit going with LG. Plus, we often see discounts from LG and carriers weeks or months after phones arrive, not to mention release week deals like a free DJI OSMOS Mobile. I own a lgv40 after trading it in with a s9 Samsung. The reason is the flow of the phone and lg’s iu is great. It intergrades nicely with google. Samsungs iu is sloppy and cumbersome , the flow is horrible. If Samsung allowed you to customize the IU I would own a note 9.
