Today Microsoft kicked off its pre-E3 press conference with a few announcements for the Xbox 360, including a new console design, a new Xbox Live Gold feature and a new game.

The new Xbox 360 console has a design that looks very similar to the new Xbox One, but more rounded. The console has a very similar two-tone design on the front, but with less hard corners and more rounded edges. The overall design is somewhere between the Xbox 360S and the Xbox One. The new console is on sale today, with no price drops announced.

To go along with the new console Microsoft announced a new game for the Xbox 360, the popular PC game World of Tanks. World of Tanks is a multiplayer game that lets players participate in 15-on-15 tank battles with friends and strangers through Xbox Live on the Xbox 360.

On the PC World of Tanks is a free-to-play game where players can pay for new tanks, weapons and custom paint jobs. There’s no word on if the Xbox 360 title is free-to-play or if gamers will have to pay for the new game.

Finally, Microsoft will bring one of Sony’s popular online features to the Xbox 360 soon with new Xbox Live Gold features. Soon all Xbox Live Gold subscribers will get two free Xbox 360 games for free every month. The feature is very similar to the Instant Game Library feature Sony introduced for PlayStation Plus last year.

The two free games feature for Xbox Live Gold subscribers will start soon with Assassin’s Creed II and Halo 3, with more games added each month. There’s no word on what future games Microsoft will offer for free.

Microsoft was also quick to point out that Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will carry over from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One. There’s no word on if the free games will extend to the Xbox One.

LOL, I just went to MS Store website and the new design is no where to be found. Got on chat with an “Answer Tech” and they did not know about it…but they did keep pushing pre-order of Xbox One
