Moto X 2015 Release: 5 Things to Know

Design & Customization

A few weeks ago our first actual look at the device may have leaked. A very small image surfaced that was reportedly a press image of the Moto X for 2015. It showed a familiar look with dual front facing speakers, the same overall design language, and an odd silver aluminum bezel or bar on the back under the camera.

This same design has been seen in a very clear leak of the Moto G for 2015, so most likely this is something we'll see from the Moto X. Rumor has it the aluminum bar on the back may act as a button of sorts, maybe to quick launch the camera, or even a fingerprint scanner. Or, it could just be for looks, but we'll have to wait and see.

That all said, we can also expect the same exceptional customization options as previous years. The Moto X (1st & 2nd Gen) offered over 18 custom colors buyers could choose from, custom accent colors for buttons and the camera, leather or wood materials for the back, and more. All of this was user-customizable on Motomaker.com, and we're expecting the same in 2015, but with even more colors, leather and textures, wood, and maybe even carbon fiber.

The 2015 Moto X will be the most customizable smartphone ever released, and potentially one of the best overall phones in 2015.

I am changing my Xperia Z Ultra (July 2013) this September. Seems like Moto XL gets my money!

Defiantly because it will feature a snapdragon 820 SOC with 3 Gb lpddr4 ram and a huge battery with gorilla glass 4 protection. motog3.com revealed that they can also use a QHD screen with improvements in corner finish.
