Motorola Rep Flashes Droid Bionic, Optional Webtop Laptop Dock at Local Verizon Store

Published

It looks like on a routine visit to a local Verizon Wireless retail store, a user ran into a Motorola Mobility employee who just happened to have the Droid Bionic and the optional Webtop laptop keyboard dock on them. The images were found posted on Howard Forums, and it looks like that laptop keyboard dock that make use of the Webtop OS on the device is similar to the one available for the Atrix 4G on AT&T.

The device is expected to land on September 8th for those who are patiently–or eagerly–awaiting the device. The Motorola Droid Bionic will be the first dual-core 4G LTE smartphone for Verizon Wireless and will best current 4G LTE Android offerings on the carrier with a qHD resolution display.

Do we know if the Bionic still has the QWERTY keyboard?  I thought at one time they said it did.  The phone in the picture above doesn’t look like it does.

I am almost certain the Droid Bionic will not have a keyboard. Motorola even at CES with the original Bionic design debuted a slate-styled smartphone design.

I don’t think the Bionic ever had a keyboard.  Although it looked like it was going to have a 4.3″ screen, it may be 4.5″ after all.
