The Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update might be rolling out soon.

According to Vodafone Australia, courtesy of Android Central, the Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is going to be rolling out on July 19th, tomorrow. This means that there is a chance that the update could roll out for the Nexus S here in the United States starting today.

SFR France is apparently singing a similar tune saying that the Nexus S will be updated in the near future.

Thus far, we haven’t seen anything and remember, this is coming from carriers and not Google itself which means there is a chance that the software may actually have a different roll out date.

The Nexus S Android 4.1 update should roll out soon.

Whatever the case may be, it looks like we are at, the very least, very close to an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean roll out for the Nexus S.

Unfortunately, we haven’t heard anything from Sprint in regards to the Nexus S 4G Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update which means that it might not get the update in the same time frame as other Nexus S devices.

These timelines seem to only apply to the GSM version of the Nexus S which means that the Nexus S 4G might be waiting longer for the update to arrive.

The Nexus S is going to be among the first devices to see the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. Along with it, the Motorola Xoom and Galaxy Nexus will both be getting the upgrade in a relatively speedy manor.

The Xoom Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update appears to be close, but we haven’t heard anything yet about a time line for the Galaxy Nexus. Vodafone says that it is prepping the update for testing which means that it will likely follow the Nexus S’ update.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is going to bring a lot of new features to the tablet including Google Now, better Voice Search, offline Voice dictation, a smoother UI, new Notifications options, and more.
