Nokia Lumia 910 Rumored to Debut With Windows Phone 8 OS

A new handset has surfaced on Nokia’s developer portal and it appears that the named Lumia 910 smartphone may be among the first smartphones to debut with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform when that OS will be released later this year. Earlier this year, we had heard about the Lumia 910 branding and it was speculated at the time that the handset will be a variant of the Lumia 900 handset that was initially introduced for AT&T’s 4G LTE network in the U.S.

Now, the Lumia 910 has resurfaced again, and WMPU is reporting that this time reference to the device has been spotted on Nokia’s Device Application Access program. So far, there hasn’t been any information released about this smartphone from Nokia, though there are speculations that the Lumia 910 may be among the first devices to appear later this year with Microsoft’s forthcoming Windows Phone 8 operating system.

Recently, when releasing additional information about its Windows Phone 8 OS, Microsoft stated that current devices won’t be eligible for a software update to the latest OS later this year. As such, devices–even the flagship Nokia Lumia 900–today would get a patch to Windows Phone 7.8 which would skin the current Windows Phone 7 platform to look like Windows Phone 8, but won’t offer the same kernel that Windows Phone 8 shares with Windows 8.

Hopefully, we’ll find more leaks coming out in the coming weeks surrounding the Lumia 910. With Windows Phone 8 supporting high resolution 720p HD displays, multi-core CPUs, and a more robust user experience, the Lumia 910 should be a competitive device.

I did envy, but I didn’t anguished over not getting the i-phone; because it was quite expensive. I have stayed with my old Nokia 5230. If the wp8 is too expensive I will opt for the next one under that. I can wait til the price is more affordable. And..The Nokia 710 and up all have Ask Ziggy which is better than siri and any android personal voice asst. I think T mobile is still the phone to have. They have been good to me over the past 10 years. At least they try to improve. The coverage has been better lately and they are partnering up with more cell co’s to get the dead places covered.
    ps.
Once they gave me extra minutes to help cover my calls, When my landline had gone dead for four days, and I needed to make and receive calls during that time and was about to use up all my minutes and then having to pay the high cost for overage minutes. My landline company just turned a deaf ear to my plight. That made me a loyal customer. They would have to do something more than bring out a newer phone without upgrade of my old phone to make me chnge my mind. And that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
