If you want dual rear cameras but can't afford the Galaxy Note 8, consider the new OnePlus 5T. Yes, it has that.

OnePlus has never been able to compete with the big boys in the camera department, but they got really close with the OnePlus 5. Enough that it's essentially good enough, especially when you consider how much the phone costs.

However, the OnePlus 5T might finally bridge that gap. This phone has two primary cameras on the back. A main 16 megapixel lens with a fast f/1.7 aperture, and then a 20 megapixel f/1.7 aperture secondary lens. They removed the telephoto lens and added another good camera. So while it won't zoom in like an iPhone or Galaxy Note 8, OnePlus claims this camera takes amazing photos. 

According to them, the software uses both cameras, and all the "dual pixels" to capture more light for better low light photography, and excellent Portrait mode shots. We'll test this once we get it in the house. The front selfie camera is 16 megapixels too for great low-light photos, wide-angle and 1080p video recording or Snapchats. 

Samsung's camera is a single 12 DualPixel lens that's tried, trusted and works great. You get a perfect shot every time, and it has a similar fast autofocus and f/1.7 aperture. This means the shutter is fast yet has a big sensor to capture tons of light during poorly lit photography sessions or indoors. The Galaxy S8 has one of the best smartphone cameras on the planet and will be hard to beat. If OnePlus really made some big changes, this could be a close race. 

Most likely those who really want the best camera will probably want to stick with Samsung. But for a lot less money, the OnePlus 5T deliver a similar experience, yet has all the dual camera features other high-end phones offer.
