OnePlus 6 vs HTC U12+: Design

All phones have a pretty similar design these days, so it comes down to a few deciding factors here. Both phones have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, big screens, plenty of storage, and great performance.

So, if you're trying to decide between the two here are some important things to consider. The OnePlus 6 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, the HTC U12+ doesn't. Neither phone offers wireless charging, but they both have a premium metal and glass design. Both phones have a glass back too but still decided to skip the wireless charging.

HTC's new U12+ is IP68 dust and water-resistant though, which is a nice added bonus. OnePlus only offers "daily splash protection" and added rubber seals to some of the ports and buttons.

One major difference in the design is the HTC U12+ has a squeezable body that lets you instantly open the Google Assistant. This is known as Edge Sense 2, and you can customize the phone to open a slew of apps just by squeezing it in your hand. Those that tried it on the HTC U11 loved it. Just know that both of these phones have a premium high-end design. You can't go wrong with either one.
