Razer Project Valerie is a Badass Triple Monitor Gaming Laptop

Published

on

Razer Project Valerie is a triple monitor laptop concept that defies imagination to deliver unparalleled mobile laptop gaming and incredible productivity benefits to creative professionals.

Razer describes this as the first automated triple monitor display in a mobile package. The displays slide out so that they are perfectly aligned with each other for a seamless multi-monitor gaming setup anywhere you are.

Project Valerie delivers 180-degree NVIDIA surround gaming with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology on the go as well as massive screen real estate for creative professionals with three 17.3 inch 4K IGZO displays that deliver 100 percent Adobe RGB color accuracy.

Building on the Razer Blade Pro, Project Valerie uses an aluminum chassis and hinges that combine to deliver a strong yet portable gaming notebook with three displays. The multi-monitor gaming notebook is 1.5 inches thick, or about two Razer Blade Pro devices stacked on top of each other. It weighs less than 12 pounds, which is a commitment to carry, but still portable.

The integrated design means no cable clutter when connecting multiple monitors at your desk or while trying to manage multiple displays on the go.

Once the monitors expand LED lights shine down to create a beautiful glowing effect that we see in many gaming setups. This is controlled through Razer Chroma which also manages lighting on the keyboard and mousepad. In a separate announcement Razer announced room scale controls of Razer Chroma with an impressive projector and connectivity to smart lighting.

The keyboard uses the Razer Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical switches that are found on the Razer Blade Pro. These activate with 65 grams of force and are designed to mimic the feel of a larger mechanical keyboard.

Whether you are a gamer or a creative professional, Project Valerie delivers the screen real estate and the power you need to tackle demanding games as well as complex business tasks and creative applications.

Project Valerie is ready for VR with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 that more than meets the minimum requirements for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Although it packs three 17.3 inch 4K displays the notebook is just 1.5 inches thick and weighs less than 12 pounds.

Multi-monitor desktop set-ups are becoming more necessary for professionals, creators, and gamers,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “For the first time, we’ve engineered a solution that users can take with them. Project Valerie promises all of the functionality of three screens and none of the hassle.”

There is no Razer Project Valerie price yet as this is a concept device. We often see Razer preview devices like this in a concept phase to gather feedback before delivering a real product to market. With that in mind it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a Razer Project Valerie release date in 2017.
