Wait for a Quick Madden 19 Release Date

The Madden 19 release date is likely coming in late August. That's not that long to wait if you plan to buy the game on day one. We always see deals on day 1 that offer up to 20% off the game, and that shouldn't change this year. 

Count on the Madden 19 release date on August 24th for the special edition and as early as August 20th on EA Access. 

If you plan to buy Madden 19 on day 1, wait and pick it up instead of spending $30 on Madden 18. Save that cash towards the new version of Madden or invest in something that will offer longer play like PUBG or Far Cry 5. 

Unless you plan to play Madden 18 a lot between then and now, it is better to wait for Madden 19.
