It's 17% smaller in volume than the 2017 MacBook Air. That means it is easier to stick in a bag, easier to use on an airplane and ultimately much more portable.

The new MacBook Air is 15.6mm thick and it weighs 2.75 pounds. Apple offers the MacBook Air in Silver, Space Gray and Gold color options.
