Apple may finally be bringing back a larger MacBook Pro after years of not offering a 17-inch model. The latest rumors don't suggest a new full return of the 17-inch MacBook Pro, but there is a larger one on the way according to Ming-Chi Kou. 9to5Mac shares the latest report where Kuo says we will see a 16-inch to 16.5-inch MacBook Pro with an all new design. This is reportedly coming in 2019 alongside a new 3.16-inch 6k x 3k monitor. This will likely arrive in late 2019, so if you are willing to wait for summer or fall, you may be able to get a bigger screen with your MacBook Pro. | ||||||||||||

“Not everyone needs the best processor or 32GB of RAM, but even if you opt for a base or mid-line 2018 MacBook Pro, it’s going to last you longer and serve you better than buying an older model if you keep your notebook until it cannot do the work you need anymore.”
Can you update the SSD on a post-2015 MacBook? Are you sure your keyboard will still even work in two more years? I’d say the post-2015 models have been the most un-upgradable, un-serviceable, and (because of keyboard issues) least reliable Macs in over 15 years. Would not recommend until Apple gets its head out of its ass and starts making top-tier laptops for professionals again.
