Another reason we strongly recommend potential buyers wait a few months is simply that the LG V40 could end up being an excitingly fresh new smartphone. The V-series is always the biggest, fastest, and best LG has to offer. They also use this model to showcase new phone designs, display technology, and more. 

Basically, the potential for something fun, new, and refreshing is very much there. 

Especially if you look at what we're seeing from the new Galaxy Note 9. If you don't want the same boring design we've seen from Samsung for over 3-years, wait for the LG V40. Samsung's new phone looks to the Galaxy S8, S9, Note 8 and more. Only the fingerprint scanner is in the middle, the S-Pen has a few new tricks, and that's about it. 

LG has the potential to really impress buyers this year, and it's worth waiting until we see more rumors before you run out and get something else. Even if that something else is the Note 9.
