Android users that are envious of Apple’s Jet Black iPhone 7 will want to consider Samsung’s latest smartphone. The company just released a new Galaxy S7 Edge Black Pearl Edition. Available in a sleek all black finish and filled with 128GB of storage. Here’s what you need to know.

The Galaxy S7 Edge has been extremely popular since being released on March 11th. Currently available in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum colors. Additionally Samsung delivered a Pink Gold and Blue Coral variants for consumers.

Samsung has been steadily adding new and unique colors with every smartphone release. Then additional options in the Best Buy exclusive Blue, Red for carriers with the Galaxy S3 and more. Now, buyers can get the impressive Galaxy S7 Edge in Black Pearl.

According to Samsung, the new glossy Black Pearl color choice is “modern and striking,” “radiates quality and luxury,” and more. Stating that it blankets the entire device from edge to edge. The original Black Onyx Galaxy S7 Edge is a lighter black color, and has a silver-like space gray aluminum frame.

Basically, the new Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge is all-black, very glossy, and elegant. It looks good, but doesn’t have the same curse as the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean. It shouldn’t scratch as easy as Apple’s Jet Black iPhone either.

The Galaxy S7 Edge Black Pearl Edition will be available December 9th, in select markets. The company has yet to announce a formal price, or confirmed which regions it will be available. The Blue Coral model is available from AT&T, and we can expect carrier details shortly.

Most likely interested buyers will be able to snag the Black Pearl model unlocked, online from Samsung, and select retail stores. As soon as we have more details we’ll be sure to update with all the information.

In addition to a striking and sleek new color, Samsung added something else to make this a worthwhile purchase. Samsung added 4x the storage. All versions of the Galaxy S7 Edge in the United States come with 32GB and a microSD slot for expansion. However, the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge has 128GB built-in. Meaning buyers could potentially have 384GB of storage. More than enough for all the 4k content you’ll ever need.

It’s worth noting that images and detailed leaked earlier this week. Claiming the new Pearl Black Galaxy S7 Edge would be available in South Korea starting on December 9th. It looks like that was accurate, but we’ll have to wait for more details before we know if it will be released in the United States and other regions.

In closing, it’s odd to see a new color now that the phone has been available for nearly 10 months. Especially with the highly anticipated Galaxy S8 set to be announced early next year around the end of February. Stay tuned for more details.
