Samsung Fascinate Video 1st Look

Published

on

Today I got my hands on the Samsung Fascinate from Verizon. This phone has been out a while already, but I just got it, so I wanted to share my 1st look. The Samsung Fascinate is an Android device running 2.1 and has Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0. This is a very thin phone with a 4.0″ Super Amoled display. It has a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash. It’s capable of shooting 720p video and I plan to share some sample video taken with it soon. The phone has a 1ghz processor, a 150o mah battery, 2gb of internal storage as well as a pre-installed 16gb MicroSD card, and all the other bells and whistles you’d expect from a Samsung Galaxy S phone. Here is my video 1st look. I was very impressed with the way the device sits in my hand, it’s not too big and definitely not too small. Stay tuned for more videos and a review soon.

Please excuse my voice, I am a little under the weather. :)

Better get as much use time as you can. I’m sure you’ll be more interested in using WP7 when it releases on the 11th.

I will, but I am 99% sure devices won’t be available until November.

How would you compare the Super AMOLED display on the Fascinate with the Retina display on the iPhone4?

I can’t vouch for the iPhone 4 screen. I don’t have one and never have. I thought about it, but the 3GS is fine for me. The super AMOLED is VERY VERY bright. Very vibrant.

Hi. I ran across your website while doing some research between Droid X and Samsung Fascinate. Since you’ve had both phones/reviewed..which in your opinion do you think is better?? I’m really liking both of these phones..just having a really hard time deciding between the two. Thanks so much!!

I like them both, but I like the size of the Droid X screen more. If I had to buy either, I would go Droid X. It’s a close race so far though.
