A slew of new Samsung Galaxy KitKat update release details have emerged today and they point to a number of upcoming Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates including upgrades to the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 2, and more.

Since January, Samsung has been delivering Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates to select devices in the United States and abroad. We’ve seen updates push out to the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2, and even the aging Samsung Galaxy S3. The Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, as many Galaxy device owners know, brings new features and bug fixes.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat isn’t the only KitKat update that Samsung’s delivering to its Galaxy users. The company is also in the midst of an Android 4.4.4 KitKat roll out for a number of devices including the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, and more. Android 4.4.4 KitKat is Google’s current version of KitKat and it’s an update that comes packed with fixes and security patches. It’s a key update ahead of Google’s Android L release, KitKat’s replacement that’s expected to arrive later on this year.

While Samsung has remained mum about Android 4.4.4 KitKat, we’ve seen a number of details leak in recent days though nothing compared to the avalanche of Android 4.4.4 KitKat details that have emerged today. Not only is a new Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4.4 KitKat update rolling out, a leaked chart puts a number of Android 4.4.4 KitKat release dates on display.

We recently noticed a listing for the Sprint Galaxy Mega Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on Samsung’s website. The listing seemed to confirm an upcoming update though up until today, the update hadn’t rolled out. Today, Sprint and Samsung have pushed out the Galaxy Mega 6.3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. The update isn’t rolling out OTA yet though it is available through SamMobile’s firmware section for those that want to get their hands on it early. The update contains enhancements and fixes.

That’s not the only Android 4.4.4 KitKat detail that’s popped up on our radar today. A leak courtesy of JustAboutPhones shows off a number of supposed release dates for Samsung’s Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. The chart, which likely comes from someone inside Samsung India, lists off a number of Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates including several unannounced upgrades. And while the information here hasn’t been confirmed, it does align with some of the KitKat details we’ve seen in recent days.

First, it appears that the Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update has been completed for both international models. What this means is that a roll out could be imminent. The chart lists off a release in October though it doesn’t get into specifics. The Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update has already hit numerous devices including the Verizon Galaxy S5 in the U.S.

It also appears that the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 3 LTE will be getting Android 4.4.4 KitKat and that those updates will be deployed in October as well. We’ve also seen the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update strike the United States and we’ve seen unnamed Galaxy Note 3 updates pop up in recent days, something that could point to an Android 4.4.4 release.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Galaxy S4 LTE, and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates are all reportedly in the final stages of testing with releases slated for November. A specific release date isn’t mentioned though we’ve already seen the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update hit carriers like T-Mobile USA, a sign that a larger roll out could be close.

This chart also lists several pending Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates including those for the Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 2 LTE, Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Grand 2 Duos, Galaxy S4 mini, and Galaxy S4 mini Duos. All of those updates are targeted for November as well so it appears that Samsung is trying to get Android 4.4.4 KitKat out to as many devices as it can this year, ahead of Android L.

I’ve had 3 Samsung smartphones but I’m done. When my contract is up I am switching my S4 to an Apple iphone. Kit Kat 4.4.2 Destroyed my ability to use it with my home WiFi. Second time that has happened because an earlier version would not play nice with my D Links router and it took them what felt like forever to fix that. All the bells and whistles are USELESS they can’t get the ability to use WiFi correct.

I am also done with samsung. They are too slow to fix bugs in their os. Kitkat 4.4.2 was full of bugs and pushed to devises without fix for the last 6 months. I can hardly use my ph as battery drains so fast. It reboots itself frequently. Its slow and lags badly. Email take long to open and download. Blue tooth is moody and has to be manually connected. These issues were not present in old jellybeen os. They just screwed up a good devise and os.

I write on Samsung galaxy tab pro. i use dev mode hidden usuale from kk OS. my time with 4.4.2 will not upgrade before unlock dev mode, or after unlock dev mode. is a crazy that tab pro model way after android 4.4.2 is supposed to be upgrade with kk 4.4.4 (kk = kit-kat). i would pay way more than $2 American for kit-kat, but why it not match pro tablet new spec?

It’s not like 4.4.2 has been better or worse than previous updates on my s4. Each update has come with fixes for old bugs and a new set of bugs. I would imagine that 4.4.4 will be more of the same garbage. I got it the other day. Haven’t stumbled across a bug yet but I noticed five new apps. It is so ridiculous adding apps that can’t be removed in updates. Imagine if Microsoft did that

I have been offered an update to my Samsung Galaxy S4 for T-mobile, but I’m hesitant to update, as once you do, the older version is gone forever, and I don’t know the benefits of 4.4.4
Anyone updated already? Suggestions? Update of keep the old?
