11 Common Galaxy Nougat Problems & How to Fix Them

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy Android Nougat update is causing problems for many users including Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 owners and today we want to show you how to fix the most common Nougat problems.

While many Galaxy devices have been upgraded to Android Oreo, many others are stuck on Android Nougat. Devices like the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 probably won’t get upgraded to Oreo which means users have two options: Remain on Nougat or manually flash an Android Oreo ROM.

Samsung is primarily focused on Android Oreo (and soon, Android P), but it continues to roll out new Android Nougat builds with security patches and, occasionally, new bug fixes.

The company and its carrier partners have patched many Android Nougat issues, but problems continue to plague devices lingering on Android 7.0 and Android 7.1.1. Some of these problems are old, some of them are new with the latest builds.

While you wait for Samsung and its partners to roll out new versions of Android Nougat we want to help you manually fix whatever it is you’re dealing with on Android Nougat.

Our list includes fixes for bad battery life, broken Wi-Fi and busted Bluetooth and we expect to add more as more people, and more devices, get Android Nougat.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Installation Problems

We’re seeing plenty of complaints about the Android Nougat download and installation process. Installation issues are fairly common and there are a few things to try in an effort to jumpstart your Nougat install.

If your download gets stuck, try pausing/restarting it. If that doesn’t help it along, check your internet connection.

You’ll want to be connected to a high-speed Wi-Fi network when you sit down to install a new update on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet.

If you’re positive it’s not a problem with your Wi-Fi connection, try restarting the device. If your device is completely frozen, take a look at this guide. It will show you how to force restart a Galaxy device.

If you’re still having issues with the OTA, you can also try sideloading the appropriate Nougat firmware for your device. You do so at your own risk.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Battery Life Problems

Abnormal battery drain is an extremely common Android issue we’re seeing various complaints from Galaxy smartphone and tablet users as we push deeper into the year.

If you installed Android 7.0 Nougat within the past two days, give it another day or two. Sometimes it can take a couple of days for the battery to settle in. If after two to three days the battery is still behaving badly, you’ll want to take action.

We’ve put together a list of fixes for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 battery life problems. These are proven fixes and they could help you turn around your bad battery life in a matter of minutes.

You’ll also want to take advantage of the Android Nougat’s new features. Samsung’s loaded it up with functions that could help you improve your battery life.

For more on those, take a look at our Galaxy S7 Android Nougat walkthrough.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Wi-Fi Problems

If you start running into Wi-Fi issues after installing Nougat on board your device, don’t fret. There’s a good chance you’ll be able to solve your issue within a matter of minutes.

The first thing to do is to perform a quick restart of your device. Power it off, turn it back on, see if that helps to establish a better connection. If that doesn’t help, and it might not, you’ll want to investigate your connection.

First, we recommend unplugging your router for a solid minute or so. Plug it back in and check your Wi-Fi connection.

If you can’t take this step because you’re in a public place, or if you’re sure it’s not a router issue, try these fixes.

Head into your Settings and take a look at your stored Wi-Fi connections. From there, you’ll want to Forget the network that’s giving you problems. You’ll need to reenter your password so make sure you have it handy.

If that doesn’t help fix your issue, you should boot your Galaxy device into Safe Mode. Safe Mode disables third-party apps and that could help you narrow down the cause of your Wi-Fi issues.

These links will show you how to flip on Safe Mode on the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Bluetooth Problems

We’re hearing about an assortment of Galaxy Android Nougat Bluetooth issues and we expect these complaints to get louder as the update picks up steam.

Bluetooth issues are extremely common and they can be extremely difficult to fix. Here are a few things that’ve worked for us in the past.

First, try turning Bluetooth off and on. Believe it or not, this has worked for us in the past and it could work for you.

If it doesn’t, you’ll want to go into your device’s Settings and forget the Bluetooth connection(s) giving you issues. Head into your Settings, select the appropriate Bluetooth connection and tap on Forget. Try reconnecting to the Bluetooth device.

If forgetting the connection fails you, try booting your device into Safe Mode. Again, Safe Mode disables third-party apps which can help you isolate troublemakers.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Cellular Data Issues

If you’re experiencing cellular data issues after installing Android Nougat on your Galaxy device, the first thing to do is a simple reboot. Power down your device and power it back on.

If the simple reboot fails to improve your connection, you’ll want to check online to see if there is an outage in your area. Check your carrier’s social media page/customer support line to see if something is going on.

If that doesn’t work, try switching the device to Airplane Mode. This will kill all of your connections. Flip it off and see if that reestablishes the connection.

Next, try flipping LTE off and on to see if that gets things moving. If it doesn’t, we recommend booting your device into Safe Mode to see if it’s an app or service causing the problem.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Random Reboots

Random reboots are affecting some users after the Nougat release and we expect plenty more complaints in the weeks ahead.

If your device starts randomly rebooting, there are a few things to try before getting in contact with Samsung and/or your service provider.

First, try restarting your device. If you haven’t restarted it in awhile this could be effective. If that doesn’t help, try updating your applications.

If that doesn’t work, try ejecting your microSD card to see if that helps to contain the problem.

We also recommend clearing App Data and Cache. In order to do that, you’ll need to go into Settings and then Applications.

How to Fix Samsung Galaxy Nougat GPS Issues

GPS issues are extremely common problems on Galaxy devices and we’re starting to see Nougat users complain about wonky GPS connections.

First, try toggling GPS off through your settings. This should refresh the connection and it could iron out any issues you’re seeing.

If that doesn’t work, try restarting your device. A quick restart has been known to set connections straight. Next, try toggling Airplane Mode on and then off to see if that jumpstarts the connection.

If those simple fixes fail you, it’s time to spend a little more time trying to solve your GPS problems.

If you’re having issues with Google Maps, go into Application Manager and select Google Maps from the list of applications. Select clear cache. You might also try updating Google Maps if you haven’t done that in awhile.

If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to boot into Safe Mode to check to see if another app is causing the problems with your GPS.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Black Screen Issues

An unresponsive black screen bug impacted many Galaxy smartphone users running Android Marshmallow. Unfortunately, it looks like the problem exists on Nougat as well.

If your screen goes black and becomes unresponsive to touch, there are a few fixes to try before getting in contact with Samsung.

First, perform a hard reset. Hold down the device’s power and volume down buttons until the phone reboots itself. If that doesn’t work, let’s try something else.

Try holding down the power, home, and volume up buttons. If you hold them long enough you should see a Samsung logo and a recovery menu.

From there, use the device’s volume up button to highlight the Reboot system now option and then hit the power button to select it.

If that doesn’t work, try letting your device’s battery run out. From there, plug it into a charger and leave it plugged in for an hour or more before taking it off.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Sound Problems

If you start noticing issues with your device’s sound (non-existent, muffled, etc) after installing Nougat, here are a few things to try.

First, make sure your speaker grille is clean. Check for debris. If you find some, clear it and check to see if your sound is working properly again.

If that doesn’t help, try a simple reboot. Power the device down and then power it back on to see if that helps.

If you’re experiencing sound issues within a specific app, check for an update. If one is available, download it to see if solves the issue.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat MicroSD Card Problems

Some Nougat users are reportedly running into a nasty microSD card problem.

Evidently, some microSD cards are getting corrupted after the switch to Android 7.0 Nougat. It appears the problem has something to do with encryption.

If you can’t access the data on your microSD card, and you’re unable to access the data on another phone or a laptop, we recommend restarting the device with the microSD card in the phone to see if that helps.

If that doesn’t work, try un-mounting your microSD card and restarting your device.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Camera App Issues

Some Android Nougat users are experiencing issues with the camera application. Sometimes the app stays black, other times it crashes.

The first thing to try is a simple restart. Power down your device and then power it back on. Open up the camera app to check if it’s stable.

If that doesn’t help, we recommend going into your applications via Settings to clear the camera app’s cache and data.

How to Fix Galaxy Nougat Problems If Nothing Works

If there isn’t a bug fix update available for your device and you’ve scoured the internet (check out our list of resources for another site or forum) but still can’t find a fix for your Galaxy Nougat problem, you’ll need to take things to the next level.

If you were having an excellent experience on Android Marshmallow you can try flashing back to see if that fixes bugs and/or improves performance. You can also try installing Android Oreo (ROM or official) to see if that helps improve performance.

If you can’t seem to get a handle on your Nougat problem, you might try wiping your device and starting from scratch. Just make sure you backup all of your important information before doing so.

To factory reset your Galaxy device, go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset > Reset Device > Delete All. This will completely wipe your device so, again, make sure everything is backed up.

If a factory reset doesn’t work, you’ll want to get in contact with Samsung customer service or your carrier for assistance.

4 Reasons Not to Install Galaxy S8 Oreo & 11 Reasons You Should

Install Oreo If You Want to Improve Your Security

Install Oreo If You Want to Improve Your Security

If you value your security, and we assume all of you do, you should think about installing the Galaxy S8 Oreo update soon after it arrives for your phone.

Samsung continues to release important security patches for Galaxy-branded devices and your Galaxy S8's Android 8.0 Oreo update should bring the latest patches from Samsung, and Google, to your phone.

The Galaxy S8 Android Oreo update delivers the company's latest security updates and we expect upcoming releases to come with newer security patches.

If you're curious about Samsung's security updates, you can read more about the changes on Samsung's website

If you failed to download an older security update from another month, you'll get those patches when you go to install Android Oreo on your Galaxy S8 for the first time.

The Galaxy S8 Oreo update also comes with security improvements to Samsung Pay, Samsung's popular mobile payment solution. If you use Samsung Pay, you should probably download the Android Oreo update soon after it arrives for your phone.

It also comes with some enhancements to Find My Mobile including the ability to remotely back up Secure Folder to Samsung Cloud when you lose your phone and a way to lock up Samsung Pass using Find My Mobile.

On top of those features, Oreo comes with enhancements to the device's Biometrics. Features that use biometrics like your face, fingerprints, and irises are only available when you use a secure screen lock type (pattern, PIN, or password).

If you decide to switch to a non-secure screen lock type (Swipe or None), the device will automatically suspend biometric authentication for unlocking and for verification in apps like Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass.

Installed the update last night. Now I keep getting Samsung Pay errors. Every time I unlock the phone, it tries to access Samsung Pay and I get “an error has occurred…” I sent the auto report to Samsung, but does anyone know how to fix this?

I also did the update last night. Now constant pop up message says, “IMS service has stopped. I’m with Optus. When I put a telstra card in, my phone is working perfectly. I tried my husband’s Optus card, in case it was just my card used in the update. But, the same message appeared. This is making my phone freeeze. Extremely frustrating. According to other users not on optus, its to do with messages backing up. I can’t find any settings for that. I’ve rebooted, cleared cache etc. I hope someone can help.

The Fingerprint sensor on my GS7 has stopped working all together since I updated to Nougat. I even went so far as factory defaulting my phone without success. I just get errors that it’s stopped working and then it suggests rebooting. Have not seen this anywhere relating to the recent update and it’s extremely frustrating as it was/is my favorite feature on this phone!

I am experiencing the same issues and haven’t found any solution online, I’ve tried a bunch of reboots and clear outs but no fix.

My GS7 has become a paperweight with Nougat. My back button stopped working and then out of no where…It comes back like 20 times and then freezes. I have to use the home button to close everything now. Lovely…Steve Jobs has returned from the dead to get his final revenge on Samsung. Disappointed

i have to 2-finger everything from scrolling to double tapping or 2 fingered tapping to get through the device… probably the worst software issue i’ve ever dealt with, even worst then 80’s game console issues

I just received the Nougat software update for my S7, I have had these phones for years and this is the worst update I have ever experienced! all the color that was on my phone for texting, calling ext. is GONE, it’s horrible. SO Samsung i’m wondering, with all your blunders in this past year, are you trying to push your loyal customers over to APPLE? If there isn’t a patch or upgrade to for Nougat, I know plenty of people (myself included) that will be leaving…fix it Samsung!

Agree. This was a MAJOR issue for me. All the dark backgrounds I loved are not bright white and there is no way to change them. My love for Samsung took a big step downward with this update.

Try a factory reset. I’ve done this through most of the updates and it seems almost mandatory. So far it’s fixes my battery drain issue on nougat and the Wi-Fi connection. Once I did the reset it completed installing a few other things and I guess that’s what’s happening

I am having the same problem as Michelle, since my Android Nougat download on Friday night. I woke up pinching myself several times to make sure I was still on earth and had my same phone with. Surprise! Washed out icons in my mail and text messages. My colorful backgrounds are gone and no where to be found. My phone and email pages have been rearranged and my drop down icons for all of my edit buttons are smaller and washed out. After much heartache with the Note 7 and 2 replacements that ended up with no one having a Note 7, this is the end.
Technical support at both T Mobile – I’m the first to call? – and Samsung have been useless. Samsung technical support sent a note of apology and gave me several paragraphs of how to fix the problem from rebooting the phone and placing it into Safe Mode; to uninstalling applications, including Google Accounts and Samsung Accounts to doing a Backup and Factory Reset!
    Enough!

Last night I received the update for my Samsung Galaxy S 7 Edge, and guess what? The tactile screen doesn’t work properly so I can’t answer the phone. I can’t access my apps, not even text a message or a whatsapp, I can’t scroll up or down, the edge function doesn’t work. It’s a total disaster. Please Samsung fix it otherwise you will loose a lot of clients.

I upgraded my Galaxy s7 2 days ago, and I hate it! Why did you change the look? e-mai is blah, it is too plain and boring. My main issue though is my messages, since I did the upgrade I now cannot send text messages at all. I keep getting “FAILED” every time I try to send a text message now. This is not an upgrade, it’s a downgrade.
    Fix it!

  15. Linda

    02/27/2017 at 10:32 pm

I have had every galaxy S since it was just S and have loved them all. I loved my S7 Edge more than all the ones before. Now it’s just a junky, cheap looking phone! The font in the drop down preview panel is tiny and poor resolution, I can hardly read it. I rely heavily on these little blips of information to know if I have an important email to check or a response on social media, reply’s on LinkedIn but now I don’t know who they’re coming from because I can’t read them! Next time beta it to real QA people and fix all the issues before you put it in UAT!

After Nougat the phone will not allow Wi-Fi calling while in airplane mode with Wi-Fi manually turned on. I’m an airline pilot and I always leave my phone in airplane mode while abroad…fix it Samsung! BTW, I wasted 15 hours of my life in Best Buy visits because of the Note 7 fiasco.

Just installed update and fully agree with other comments about the complete lack of colour now especially in messages and email. I spent an hour looking fro where I could turn the colours on but after reading the above I now realise it doesn’t exist.
I am extremely disappointed with the changes and don’t understand why you did it for…do you want me to by an Apple product?
    PLEASE FIX IT URGENTLY

I’m not phone swavy so I can’t complain much, my phones seems to be working just fine but I do share your issue with the lack of color. I cannot see who I am trying to text due to the white background against the WHITE font. Oh, and the swipe feature seems to have a mind of its own entering words I didn’t swipe. This is ridiculous!

I am IT stupid, so very clueless . I tried my best to resolve my notifications pop-up issue . I play Royal Revolt 2 and have Facebook and whatsapp groups and contacts dedicated to this game. I need to hear the notification sound , but the popup during game play ruins everything. I was advised to use game launcher , but I hate it . I need to record game play videos with a different dedicated app. This update ruined everything, I chose galaxy s7 just to play this game . Now after the update everything is messed up . Any suggestions ?

When I installed the Nougat update multiple apps crashed. It keeps on saying WFC crashed and Settings isn’t responding and Process system is not responding. My phone lags out and turns off by itself. Whenever I tap on the WI-Fi icon it does not take me to where it is supposed to take me. It continues to send me to the home screen Does anyone know how to fix all of these problems??

Reading all these comments, Samsung must take note and solve the problems as soon as possible. They started with the burning batteries from the note and continue with the instability of Nougat. Instead of washing money advertising, they have to spend money doing things properly. Do not launch the update if this does not work properly. A BIG SUGGESTION: Give Samsung owners the chance to install again the old version Marshmallow, specially when most of them admit the colourful old version likes more than the new one.

My Galaxy S7 updated yesterday. Now when it is charging, the screen gets all rainbow colored. The slightest touch brings up the unlock screen. Not sure if this is a bad thing or not. And everything is washed out and slower moving. Is there a way to get rid of this update and go back to the previous one?

with the design/look of apps like the calendar, PLEASE leave well enough alone or give us the choice of which view works best for us. I’m tired of developers deciding what we want our apps to look like.

    Have you gone nuts ?

Solution to every problem you provide is a simple reboot.

Why have you even posted this ?

Anyone else having trouble with the emails? I have Verizon and I can receive and send emails when on wifi but not when on data. If the settings were wrong than wifi wouldn’t work either. I have uninstalled the account and reinstalled, checked all the settings against Verizon’s website and it still doesn’t work. Any solutions? Silly if I can only get my emails when I am home and can use my computer.

  35. DB

    04/03/2017 at 3:01 pm

OK, This was pretty much nonsense. “If sound doesn’t work reboot and if that doesn’t help check online for another solution”, “If WiFi doesn’t work reboot and if that doesn’t help check online for another solution”, “If Mobile Data doesn’t work reboot and if that doesn’t help check online for another solution”. So your solution for pretty much every single issue is “reboot and if that doesn’t help check online for another solution”. You could have shortened this entire post to a paragraph about the size of this rant. Uggg.

I am having weird charging problems. I have mine on charge over night running Kaloer Clock as a bedside alarm clock. Kaloer is set to turn on when plugged into charge if between 9.30pm and 6.00am and deactivate when removed from charge. Several times during the night the phone will beep beep like the charger was removed then reconnected – several times in a row each time, which of course turns off the clock then back on with it’s own beep beep.. Very annoying… and if after 6am (where I have it set to not turn the clock back on when plugging onto the charge) then the phone simply goes to sleep without the bedside clock anymore.

Haven’t seen this mentioned by anyone yet. Anyone else? It never did this prior to the upgrade.

Simple Android Nougat Fix. This solution may not work for everyone but it worked for me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and recently updated to Nougat. I was hugely disappointed and frustrated because my phone’s performance decreased dramatically, web pages didn’t load properly or quickly and scrolling was jittery. I looked at online solutions that involve backing up your phone on your computer downloading marshmallow etc etc all too complicated. Here’s what solve the Nougat problem for me. I turned OFF my phone (not restarted) and started up in safe mode by holding down the low volume button as it started. I waited 5 minutes and then turned my phone off again. Waited another minute and then started it up again in normal mode and when it came back up it worked perfectly normal like it did under marshmallow. I love my phone again.

Android 7.0 nougat has not reached all devices yet but if you have recently purchased a Nexus or Google Pixel device, you must be enjoying the new Android OS which has brought various exciting and useful features to help you get the best of your smartphone. This update is available since August and already the update version of it Android 7.1 Nougat too is rolled out to fix some bugs and glitches faced in Nougat 7.0. I really like your article, this article explain or fix all the problem related to nougat. its really helpful for me and I am waiting your next article.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with the keyboard or autocorrect since the update too? It’s driving me crazy. Words I’ve deleted about 10 times from learned words (because I typed them by mistake *one* time) keep getting thrown into my autocorrect. The word ‘so’ I have had to delete a bunch of times because for whatever reason it keeps capitalizing it as ‘SO.’ It’s SO frustrating! There are other words it changes all the time too, or just deletes a word completely when I get done typing it. And I have to type it like 3 times before it recognizes that I want to keep that word. It’s like it went from being a smart keyboard to losing all of its smart features – features which actually corrected words I typed wrong. Now it just replaces words I’ve typed correctly. There’s nothing more frustrating than typing a word you intended to type, having it changed, and having to keep re-typing it 3 times. Please give me the last OS keyboard back! And for the record, during the time I had the Note 7 (before I surrendered it for the S7), it was doing the same crap. Hopefully the next OS update is better or gives you the option to go back to the smarter keyboard.

If you’re on AT&T, disable AT&T Smart WiFi app. It’s turning the WiFi on and OFF when it thinks it’s not needed. In the case of Android Nougat, AT&T Smart WiFi is not smart at all. It’ll turn off the WiFi whether you need it or not. So disable it immediately.

I don’t have many of these issues but my phone auto-rotate now quits and I have to reboot to get it working again. Come on Samsung, don’t make me go back to Motorola!!!!

The biggest problem I have with this update is how badly copy/paste is working, the new keyboard and font sizes which are beyond ridiculous as it seems my only options are Gigantic or teensy and the white everything (keyboard, messaging,) and the addition of unnecessary apps like a weather app I cannot turn off, etc. Along with the things already mentioned but not fixed with these suggestions. Not even the 3 calls to tech support nor an on-site visit fixed any of my issues. After all this, Samsung then blamed Google. Nice customer support. Switching to an iphone at next upgrade.

Private mode no longer works after 7.0 update on the galaxy S7 and advanced task killer doesn’t pick up anything to kill. Wth samsung. And why do we build phones with batteries built into them, a battery is something after being charged and discharged so many times needs to be replaced, it should be easy and convenient for any consumer to do themselves , I just dont understand it. Manufacturers need to either charge less for their phones, or make them to last more then a year or two. Its sad how fast these updates come out to download to your phone, without being checked out to see if there are problems with them before you download them and mess up people’s phones. Technology is supposed to be moving forward, not making things worse.

My phone will no longer sync to my car or recognize other blue tooth devices and the battery seems to be draining about twice as fast as usual. My phone is vital to my job performance. Thanks, Samsung. What a terrible waste that is going to push the rest of us over to iphone use.

The font is now much smaller in the contacts list. My bad eyesight has trouble reading it. I want the old font back.
Clicking on a contact in the phone list rang the number, now I have to select call option from the menu of CALL/MESSAGE/DETAILS.
I don’t like everything in white.
My battery life is greatly reduced.
    Gallery looks awful in white.
I really dislike the Nougat upgrade.

The latest nougat update is total crap! A complete disaster! The screen won’t rotate anymore, even when taking photos. Auto brightness stopped working completely. When it’s enabled, sliding the lever does not produce any response at all. The brightness level would be stuck at a certain level. Waking the phone up from sleep with auto brightness on will leave the screen with the lowest brightness level. The light sensor is not working too! The screen brightness will not adjust itself anymore. During calls, the screen will not turn off when the sensor is covered. The phone also freezes often and has to be hard rebooted. Heart rate monitor malfuntioned too and can’t register heart rate. When placed on the pad for wireless charging, the charging goes on and off, like it doesn’t detect well, even after repositioning the phone several times.

Tried factory reset and clearing the cache. Nothing worked!

This is a complete nightmare! Every single update leads to bigger issues every time! This is THE WORST that I have ever encountered. They better push out a new update patch ASAP and fix these bugs. Phone’s completely crippled now!

My Samsung Note 5 continually pops up a screen while charging via my computer etc. asking to allow or deny to file transfer; when I select other options and select charge only it does not select that button and the screen disappears again…I plug my phone in at work to my computer usb periodically throughout the day and never had a problem until the update earlier this week thru Verizon update.

So essentially, every single one of your “fixes” is to reboot the phone or stop and restart the offending app/service?!?! If all else fails, do a master reset?!?!

Wow…I never would have though of that.

Whatever they’re paying you, it’s too much.

I have the Galaxy Edge 6+ and have updated to about a week ago and now while I am on calls it will randomly just drop my calls. Prior to the upgrade everything worked fine. Any ideas on how to fix that?

My Samsung S7 was working great until this weeks update, bricks anyone? Good thing Samsung service is taking the phone in, we’ll see. After 4 Samsung phones owned through the Galaxy series, this was the worst update, best phone.

My camera is HORRIBLE now. First the pic are is tiny, and now when you take a pic, it does not always saving it, which means I am MISSING a lot of 1 chance photo ops and school memories. NOT COOL. Other issues too but will try the fixes for those. Had this update about 2 weeks. HATE IT. It is like I no longer know my phone.

I’ve lost my fingerprint recognition as well. But the worst thing is that the phone is now so stupid it doesn’t know to capitalize the first word of a new sentence when texting or for names when adding contacts. And when I tap a word it autocorrected to go back to the original, the text is black on black so no idea what I’ll get.

Great if they’ve improved security, but not if I don’t even want to use the phone anymore.

My main issue so far is losing the auto rotate button from my drop-down menu….where did it go and where can I find the setting to turn it back on?? I’ve looked everywhere….driving me nuts! …on top of taking away the custom colors & fonts. Looking at my screen is not enjoyable…so much more cold & impersonal :(

I’m having issues with screen rotation, for example when I used to watch YouTube videos I would turn my phone sideways to get full screen and rotate it back to exit. Its the same with message plus my screen won’t rotate to give me a bigger keyboard to type on any solutions?

Galaxy s6 with recent 7.0 Android update. When battery gets to 25% a popup blocks 80% of the screen warning battery level. It suggest some actions that will have absolutely no impact on the battery whatsoever but none the less it’s popped up and will literally not go away there’s no way to acknowledge it there’s no way to move it there’s no way to minimize it there’s no way to acknowledge it. It will stay there and render your phone completely unusable until the battery gets to about 15%, then it finally goes away! If you are not near a phone charger you cannot answer a phone call make a phone call even in an emergency you cannot send or read text messages or do anything with the phone.
