Samsung Galaxy Note 2 U.S. Release Date Could Land in October

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will land in Canada on October 30th and that means that there is a chance that the Galaxy Note 2 U.S release date could land in October as well.

According to MobileSyrup, the Galaxy Note 2 phablet will be hitting TELUS and Mobilicity on October 30th. TELUS officially announced this as the release date for the Galaxy Note 2 and it appears that that’s the date that Mobilicity is giving those who pre-order the device through its website.

So, barring any setbacks, it looks like the Galaxy Note 2 will take its 5.5-inch HD display, quad-core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and more to Canada in just a few short weeks.

Those that don’t want to buy the Galaxy Note 2 on either of those carriers will be able to find the tablet on a host of other Canadian carriers as well including Bell, WIND, Rogers, Videotron and SaskTel.

And while that’s great news for Canadians hoping to get a hold of Samsung’s next-generation phablet, those in the U.S. looking to get the Note 2 still don’t know when the device might launch.

Samsung has an event scheduled for October 24th where it will launch the Galaxy Note 2 in the United States and given that U.S. Cellular has a pre-order up for the Galaxy Note 2 right now with an estimated release coming in October and the fact that Canada is getting the Galaxy Note 2 in October, it’s possible that we could see at least one U.S. carrier launch the device in October if not all of them.

Earlier this year, Canada got the Galaxy S III right around the same time as the United States. Its launch was originally scheduled for June 21st, same day that T-Mobile released the Galaxy S III. And while it ended up launching later, it was because of supply issues. American carriers like AT&T and Sprint were affected by those supply issues as well and would have launched the Galaxy S III in June if they could have.

That being said, if Samsung follows similar protocol, we could see release dates land this month instead of in November. At the very least, we’ll likely see a pre-order arrive on October 24th.

So while nothing is confirmed, history and the Canadian release date seem to point to a Galaxy Note 2 October release as being a possibility.
