Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat Release: Another Date Pops Up

Published

on

Another Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat release date popped up today and those who are on a major carrier in Europe now know when the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update will roll out for Samsung’s current Galaxy Note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update has been rolling out since January but the update has still not hit a majority of Galaxy Note 3 devices around the world. After starting in January, the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat experienced a lull before pushing out to devices again in February.

At the tail end of last month, rs and it appears that a few other American carriers may not be far behind. It’s also looking like at least one European carrier is going to follow those updates closely as a new Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat release date has popped up today.

French carrier SFR, a carrier well known for releasing Android update release dates ahead of time, announced that it completed testing for its Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 update and that the update itself will be rolling out on March 10th. When SFR announces a specific date, it tends to keep its word so those who own a Galaxy Note 3 on the French carrier can expect the update to debut that day.

The carrier does not outline all of the features coming aboard the update but it’s expected to be dominated by Google’s Android 4.4 feature-set like the previous Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates.

SFR previously said that the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update would roll out sometime in March and we expect the carrier to announce its availability ahead of time as well.

In the United States, AT&T and T-Mobile could be next in line to roll out their Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates. Neither update has a date but both of these updates have turned up in public places. The AT&T Galaxy Note 3 update showed up on Samsung’s website while the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 update showed up at Samsung’s Open Source site.

We’ve also recently see AT&T confirm that it’s working on a fix for Galaxy Note 3 GPS issues inside the device and it says that an update is coming soon. With Android 4.4 KitKat on the way, we imagine that it could be the Android 4.4 KitKat update that delivers these fixes and rolls out in the near future.

Samsung typically takes months to roll out its major updates so those who have yet to see the update emerge, should remain patient as carriers work to test the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 update for public release.

I still can’t understand what the soft update att pushed threw last week for the note 3 was all about! 4.4 would have cleared these bugs up themselves! And how does the older galaxy model (S4) receive 4.4 before the more expensive, newer model (note 3) on at&t!!!!! I am the regional sales director for at&t in ohio and can’t make sense of it!

I went back to my iPhone 4s while I wait for the update. My new note 3 is just a toy. Bad gps and bad wifi makes it useless as a serious device.
If the 4.4 release doesn’t fix the problems, im jumping ship, back to apple.
    Such a let down.

Att is letting everyone down with this update that never happened. The waiting game is getting really old. Update these devices already.

I went to At&t last June.
From sprint, thinking I would now get faster update. I don’t even use my new note 3 right now. Also turning back to my iPhone 4s.

ATT Is the problem and not the phone. Get Verizon and be happy :)

Verizon is the worst! The are always the last to update their phones. Also Verizon removes a lot of the standard software from their phones and replaces it with their useless bloat crap! Verizon users go to tmobile, at&t or any other carrier and see what standard features your phone is lacking.

I have a Verizon note 3 and I am having the same problem with the GPS. Have ran unit in safe mode and noticed store unit had the same problem. Therefore it must be a software bug.

who in their right mind would switch from Verizon to sprint for shitty cellular service and signal… More dropped calls than ever before with Sprint. I’d rather have a few bugs then dropped calls all day long

I have the Verizon Note 3 and an update isn’t coming my way anytime soon. They are always last and they really know how to ruin the user experience. We may get 4.4.2 when 6.0 comes out. Smh…

My experience with T-Mobile has been good, great plans, good costumer service, no internacional roming, great updates, I’m happy with my N3 and my TM. :)

I got kitkat 4.4.2 on the 1st of March on vodafone uk no problems up to now. What I would like to know is why you can only use the phone app they have put on lock screen, you can not use security on the lock screen. I thought security is important in case you lose or it is stolen
