Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Case Hints at Design

Published

on

An alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 3 case has leaked out a day ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 launch date and the images appear to hint at the Galaxy Note 3 design, something that remains a partial mystery ahead of the device’s arrival.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will launch tomorrow in Berlin, Germany at an Unpacked event. The event has not seen the same kind of build up that we saw for the Galaxy S4 launch in New York City but there will be plenty of eyes on Samsung’s announcement as the Galaxy Note 3 represents one of the bigger smartphone launches of the year.

We have seen numerous leaks emerge ahead of the Galaxy Note 3’s arrival, leaks that have revealed several new features including a 5.68-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, new S Pen features, a fingerprint reader, 3GB of RAM, and more. On paper, the device is looking like a big upgrade over the Galaxy Note 2.

One thing that remains a bit of a mystery though is the Galaxy Note 3 design. Leaks have hinted at a new design with thinner bezels and a taller overall form factor to contain the larger display. We’ve also heard that the dimensions might be on par with the Galaxy Note 2’s though rumors have also suggested an 8mm frame.

We’ve seen a concept show off what the device could look like next to the Galaxy Note 2 and now, thanks to what are being heralded as Galaxy Note 3 case photos, we have some more Galaxy Note 3 design hints.

A case unearthed by Romanian site Mobilissimo seems to hint at the Galaxy Note 3 design. We see a boxy design like the one that has been rumored, a large hole for the device’s camera and flash, a spot for the S Pen stylus, holes for the volume rocker and more. It may not show off the design exactly, but it’s a good gauge about what to expect.

The transparent case for the Galaxy Note 3 is just the latest possible accessory to emerge for Samsung’s new phablet. We’ve also seen a number of Galaxy Note 3 accessories arrive on Amazon though they don’t appear to be real as we’ve been told that our order has been cancelled ahead of the device’s arrival.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will arrive tomorrow, in the flesh, and it’s rumored that Samsung will release the device only a few weeks after the launch date with mid-and-late September rumored as potential release dates.

NO SPEAKER HOLES AT THE BACK. FRONT FACING SPEAKERS?!

Not a chance. HTC would have a cow, plus the front glass has already been leaked, no holes for speakers, although I do see an odd opening at the top and bottom of the cases, still fuzzy which ones would be used for audio, although I would guess the bottom one, that’s pretty much what everyone else does plus it looks standard, you know, long, oval slit. Wish they would put them on both sides, one top and one bottom (all four corners would be amazing) Would solve stereoscopic audio, could place the phone back or face down, and it would still work weather it was landscape or horizontal.

Looks like an old Note 1 case of mine without the speaker hole in the back bottom. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Boy oh boy do I hope it has stereo speakers. That is the only thing that makes me glance at the HTC one max, aside from the max having a slightly larger screen.

I think the extra hole on the top is for the IR blaster. That would be great if the speakers are on the bottom. It will definitely be an improvement from the back. It would have been better on the top and bottom. It would give depth to the sound. The best would be like what HTC has (on the front). It would be cool if they worked the menu and back buttons through the speakers. Have them light up through the speaker holes and of course touchable. Then to step it up, put more speakers on the top front of the phone having the Samsung logo coming through the speakers. I don’t mind if the phone was still 9mm thick if they had that extra stuff. 8mm is cool but it gets to the point of if I accidentally sit on my phone will I bend it and break it. The Iphone can do that because it is a very small phone. This phone is a way bigger phone and I like the big screens. If the Mega had at least the same internal specs, camera, and the SPen as this phone, I would have gotten that phone.
