Samsung Galaxy Note 5: 10 Things Buyers Can Count On

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 launch date is all but confirmed for Thursday. And today, ahead of Samsung’s big announcements, we take a look at a few things we think prospective Samsung Galaxy Note 5 buyers can count on from the device and its release.

For several weeks, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has been the center of attention. Rumors have surfaced on a daily basis outlining everything from the device’s release date to the design to the screen size to the S Pen to the amount of RAM on board.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything yet but it’s very clear that the Galaxy Note 5 will make its debut during the company’s Unpacked event on August 13th.

Rumors have pointed in that direction and even Samsung itself has begun teasing a Galaxy Note announcement. You can count on a Galaxy Note 5 launch date on August 13th. But what else can prospective Galaxy Note 5 buyers count on?

We’ve seen a ton of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 information emerge in the past week or so and at this point, we think that many of its most important details have firmed up ahead of Samsung’s big announcement in New York City on August 13th. (As a reminder, the live stream of the event starts at 11AM EST.)

With those, and the Galaxy Note 5 release date in mind, we want to take a look at a few things that we think buyers in the United States and elsewhere can count on from the Galaxy Note 5 specs and Samsung’s highly anticipated release.

Galaxy Note 5 Release Date Soon

Galaxy Note 5 Release Date Soon

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 launch date is confirmed for August 13th but the Galaxy Note 5 release date is still shrouded in mystery as we approach the device's highly anticipated launch.

As we noted over the weekend, we're expecting the Galaxy Note 5 release date to land a few days after the announcement for a few reasons which include the iPhone 6s release date.

You can count on a Galaxy Note 5 release date in August but you shouldn't expect every single region and every single carrier to get the Galaxy Note 5 on the first day.

Count on a widespread global Galaxy Note 5 release but know that these things take time. Not even Apple is able to get the iPhone out to everyone all at once. The supply chain has its limitations.

You can count on big markets like South Korea, Japan and the United States being among the first to get the device. And with Samsung (and its partners) clearly trying to get this phone out before the iPhone 6s, you can count on a ton of release dates taking place before September 9th

I actually love the s6 -size, display, camera- but due to overheating (probably some of the apps i use and lollipop) and terrible battery life, I’ve gone back to an iPhone. The Note 4 was a solid device but the S6 is plagued with Lollipop disasters – messages like “hangouts has unexpectedly quit”. I have a pretty full battery when i go to sleep and by the time I wake up without any use it is dead. I’m really wondering about the Android experience at the moment because it seems like a disaster. I have a new Moto G coming until the dust settles over the next few months with the new devices. But I’m selling the s6. I do not have high hopes for the Note 5.

As for the note 5, as a loyal note 4 user and business owner I will certainly pass on the note 5 if it comes without a removable battery… No if’s, and’s, or but’s. In that case, see you next year, Samsung.. I’ll keep my note 4 and my money.

I would like to add to Bens reply that I also will stick with my Note4, since the Note 5 has no memory card slot.
