New Galaxy S4 & Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 Updates Teased

Samsung is teasing new Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates on its website, updates that remain unreleased but will be coming to Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 users in the United States in the future.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat roll out is underway in the United States as carriers look to upgrade their devices past the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update that arrived late last year. So far, we’ve seen Sprint and U.S. Cellular push out updates for their devices but we now know that at least one other update will be coming soon.

AT&T announced yesterday that it would be rolling out its Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update starting today. Samsung has updated all of its support pages to reflect the update and it appears that at least one AT&T Galaxy S4 owner has received the update Over-the-Air today. That still remains unconfirmed, but today is definitely the day.

Not content with that, Samsung is teasing two new Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 updates on its U.S. website. Samsung now says that the T-Mobile Galaxy S4 is running Android 4.4 KitKat. That update remains unreleased and it’s not clear when T-Mobile will be upgrading its current Galaxy S flagship.

The AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update has also appeared on Samsung’s website though it too remains unreleased. Despite announcing the Galaxy S4’s roll out, AT&T has yet to confirm an update for Galaxy Note 3 users.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen unreleased updates show up on Samsung’s website. Earlier this year, we saw the AT&T Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update emerge on the site ahead of its release, and today, that update will roll out. So while these listings don’t confirm imminent releases, there is a good chance that the T-Mobile Galaxy S4 and AT&T Galaxy Note 3 will see their updates arrive in the next few weeks.

When those updates do arrive, they will likely offer many of the same features that we saw come with the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 updates for Sprint and U.S. Cellular. Those updates were heavily dominated by Android 4.4 KitKat features though both of them also offered unique enhancements from the carriers themselves.

With the emergence of these updates, the only Android 4.4 KitKat updates that remain completely missing in action in the U.S. are the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 update and Verizon’s two Android 4.4 KitKat updates. Verizon is well known for being last in line to major Android updates and it’s possible that we could see a repeat here.

Samsung will also deliver Android 4.4 KitKat updates for the small carriers that host the Galaxy S4 though those carriers typically follow in the footsteps of the major carriers.

I was already running 4.3 and the update says 4.3 but I did notice better battery life and better performance plus no lag and smoother transition in screens

Flash. All in all samsung is rubbish I don’t like it at all, I prefer htc because they keep there promise. And in terms of technology htc are more advanced but samsung is just a copy products.
