While the Samsung Galaxy S4 was officially announced last week, there are still some lingering questions including those about its release date in certain regions and also about which processor the Galaxy S4 will have in which region. Today, it appears that we now have an answer to the latter question in the form of a large list that claims to break down the Galaxy S4 processor situation, region by region.

Earlier today, interested consumers in the United Kingdom got a little bit of a surprise when they learned that the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the United Kingdom, which was thought to be coming with Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa processor, will now get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor instead. Samsung has confirmed this.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 13MP camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 processor situation has been broken down by region.

Other regions like the United States have also been confirmed to have the Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor instead of the Exynos 5 Octa processor, which utilizes eight cores, but until now, we haven’t had any clear insight into the bigger picture.

SamMobile, whose information is generally reliable, has released a master list detailing which regions will be getting the Exynos 5 Octa processor inside the Galaxy S4 and which will be getting the Snapdragon 600 from Qualcomm.

The breakdown reveals that all African nations getting the Galaxy S4, which includes Egypt and Algeria will be getting the Exynos 5 Octa. In Asia and the Middle East all regions except Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Phillipines, Saudia Arabia and the UAE will be getting the Galaxy S4 with the Exynos 5 Octa.

it appears that the others will be getting a mix of Exynos 5 Octa and Snapdragon 600, something that will likely depend on the carrier.

In Europe, it appears that regions other than France, Germany, Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom, will be getting the Exynos 5 Octa. However, those regions are said to be, like the other regions, to be getting a mix of Exynos 5 Octa and the Snapdragon 600.

What this means for the United Kingdom is unclear at this point given the previous confirmation from Samsung. Croatia is the only European country whose processor type is unclear.

Information for Australia and Latin American is currently not known but we imagine that they will see their processors confirmed in the coming days.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is slated to arrive at the end of April, at least in the United Kingdom, with release dates pegged for April 25th and April 26th. Other regions are said to be getting the high-powered device in early May. The United States still is without a Galaxy S4 release date though rumors suggest May or June.

Samsung’s new smartphone comes not only with a quad-core processor but with a 13MP camera, 5-inch 1080p display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, several Samsung software enhancements and 4G LTE data speeds where available.
