Decide How to Install Android Oreo

You might not see your Galaxy Tab Android Oreo update right away. In fact, it could take weeks to land for your specific model. If you don't want to wait that long, you should be able to sideload the software.

We expect the Galaxy Tab's official Android Oreo firmware to surface soon after the roll outs begin. And it's this firmware that'll let you skip the Over-the-Air (OTA) roll out.

If you aren't familiar with how the sideloading process works on Samsung devices, and you think you might want to skip the OTA, now would be a good time to educate yourself on the subject. There are plenty of tutorials out there so make sure you dig around.

If the sideloading process feels complicated, you should probably wait for the update to roll out to your device Over-the-Air.
