Galaxy Tab S2 vs Galaxy Tab: Price

Galaxy Tab S2 vs Galaxy Tab: Price

We had a pretty good idea of what to expect already, considering the pricing from last year and what Samsung has been asking for the new Galaxy Tab S2 outside of the US, but now it's official and exactly as expected.

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 comes in both sizes mentioned, and defaults to 32GB of storage, and not just 16GB. Not to mention both support a micro-SD slot for expanding storage. Here's the full breakdown.

  • Galaxy Tab S2 8-inch 32GB - $399
  • Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch 32GB - $499

These tablets will also be offered with 4G LTE from all major carriers in the United States, so far we only have a few details, and here's what buyers need to know.
  • T-Mobile Tab S2 8-inch - $0 down (and $27.09 / 23 months + $26.92 for the 24th month)
  • AT&T will have the 9.7-inch model for $30 a month, or $499 with a 2-year contract.
  • Other carriers will be making announcements shortly.

The original Galaxy Tab S was available with only 16GB of storage for $399, and $499 for the 10.5-inch model, which matches these prices. However, they're currently on sale.

Grab the 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab S from Best Buy right now for $100 off, only costing $299. Without the price drop these would cost the same, and both models are excellent tablets. That said, the newer Tab S has a lot of improvements across the board and is the best choice at the moment, and will receive support and Android updates for a year longer.

You forgot to mention that the new S2 camera does not have a flash.
