Samsung Infuse 4G Headed to AT&T in May

Published

It’s been awhile since we last heard from the Samsung Infuse 4G, CES in fact, but it has finally shown some signs of life in the form of a Walmart advertisement that indicates that the device will be headed to Walmart and thus, AT&T, at some point next month.

Samsung Infuse 4G Ad

Sadly, the ad gives no specific date for the Infuse’s release but does offer up a price tag that should make those looking for a good Android experience not called the Motorola Atrix 4G happy.

Samsung Infuse 4GIf this shred of evidence is correct, the Infuse 4G will be available for the strange price of $178.88. Expect other retailers to carry the device for around that price as well. That price will likely come at the cost of a new two-year contract with Ma Bell as well.

The Samsung Infuse 4G was originally announced back in January and features a enormous 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, Android 2.2 with TouchWiz, a 1.2GHz processor, an 8MP camera, and a front facing 1.3 MP camera.

In short, this device is perfect for those that want a solid Android device with a huge screen and could care less about a dual-core processor.

“,,,for those that want a solid Android device with a huge screen and could care less about a dual-core processor”.

The expression is “COULDN’T care less…”

And yes, it matters. I’m not a grammar nazi with commenters, but with article writers, I think they should at least be alerted.

And once more with feeling, for those who may not be able to parse the words, it DOES matter. COULD care less means the OPPOSITE of COULDN’T care less. COULD care less means your level of caring is ‘above zero’, thus allowing for there to be room to care LESS than you do now [thus establishing you do care somewhat]. COULDN’T care less means your level of caring is at the very rock bottom (zero) so it is impossible for you to care any less than you do now…i.e., you COULDN’T care less.

Don’t feel to bad though, while most of the English speaking world gets this, some of the most unlikely writings make the error. I’ve seen it in a few (not many) scripts on television.

      “Don’t feel to bad though”…

I believe the correct word here is “too”, not “to”.

Sorry, the grammar police hauled me off to jail but my editor was able to fix the issue you were having.

“Don’t feel to bad”. It’s “too bad” you seem to have the same grammer issue as the one you arrogantly pointed out to the editor. See what happens when you throw stones from inside your glass house? You have now officially been stripped of your jury and judge title. You are now sentenced to be the one who buys this outdated and inferior phone.

Just needs a couple things, a phone company that is smart enough to release this with 2.3. Oh that would be ANY carrier BESIDES A&TT. You’d have to be an idiot to pick this over the Galaxy S2 that’ll be on Verizon with everything this has plus a dual core, 2.3 gingerbread and a much needed updated UI. FAIL if anyone settles for a new phone like this released from the gate with inferior specs to the other carriers. T-Mo will have the 2.3 HTC Sensation, Sprint the 2.3 EVO 3D, Verizon the 2.3 Galaxy S, and behind the times ATT will have the single core 2.2 Infuse to compete with them all. Oh and it’ll be the only one that doesn’t allow side loading unless you root it. You can bet it wont see an update if ever, for quite some time. Samsung says : “We’re sorry. This phone does NOT meet the requirements for the 2.3 upgrade. Please buy the Galaxy S2 upgraded version from verizon or switch to a new carrier. Att will have 2.3 phones soon after 2.4,5 & 6 have been released. Thank you and please enjoy your 2.2 phone”
