Samsung Legal Team Confirms Nexus Prime

Published

on

As an organization thus far, Samsung has yet to confirm that it is the vendor for the Nexus Prime nor that a Nexus Prime is forthcoming, but Samsung’s legal team may have confirmed that fact. In a cease and desist letter published on Geek.com, Samsung’s general counsel says that those the leaked firmware for the Nexus Prime is ‘the exclusive property of Samsung and/or its partners,’ and expects those in possession of a leaked firmware for the device to not publish or disclose that information.

The device is also rumored to be headed to U.S. carrier Verizon Wireless and would be that carrier’s first device from Google’s Nexus family as it had passed on both the Nexus One and the second-generation Nexus S. Additionally, the Nexus Prime may be the device that is making Verizon Wireless pass on the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S II.

To date, there are many leaks for the Nexus Prime, including specs such as a 720p HD display, a dual-core processor, and a potential launch with Google’s next-generation Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android.
