T-Mobile Responds To AT&T With Its Own Ads

A new set of full-page ads from T-Mobile respond to AT&T’s full page ad attacking the carrier earlier this week.

According to TmoNews, T-Mobile has three new ads that attack AT&T and its recent full-page ad. The first T-Mobile ad questions the logic of AT&T attacking the carrier it once tried to buy. That ad asks “ff AT&T though out network wasn’t great, why did they try to buy it?”

The ad refers to AT&T’s attempt to buy T-Mobile back in 2011. That acquisition failed, which is why the carriers are still separate today. The ad makes a great point, though T-Mobile’s network would have augmented AT&T’s network. Even if T-Mobile’s network is unreliable as AT&T claims, it would just add onto AT&T’s network, which it presumably thinks is reliable.T-Mobile_AT_T_ad-2

Another T-Mobile ad asks if anyone can “see the beads of sweat” from AT&T. The ad claims that T-Mobile is “turning up the heat,” and that AT&T is worried. Thus, the ad claims, AT&T is reduced to taking “cheap shots” at the T-Mobile network.

The third ad uses similar language to the second, but says that T-Mobile apparently keeps AT&T up at night.

This year T-Mobile will do away with phone contracts in favor of what it calls “Value Plans.” Those plans are cheaper than plans from AT&T and Verizon. Value Plans give users the option of either paying the full price of a phone, or paying off the phone over a period of 20 months. Either way, the user is not tied to a two-year contract.

T-Mobile will also rollout its 4G LTE network in the near future, starting first in Las Vegas. By the end of 2013, the carrier expects to offer 4G LTE to 200 million Americans. Only two phones, the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, will support the network at first. But more will come, including the next iPhone, later this year.

AT&T wanted the network for the stupid frequency, (not necessarily the network hardware itself, but it would have been a plus if they got it anyway)

AT&T and T-Mobile have almost the exact same data coverage anyway, and AT&T needs 4G (hspa+) AND LTE in the same area for LTE to work, and T-Mobile’s 4G (hspa+) is faster then AT&T’s 4G (hspa+)

AT&T wanted only the 4G of T-Mobile(NO 3G), to make there 4g LTE even faster and more widely available then Verizon’s LTE network

T Mobile shouldn’t flatter themselves they still suck, AT&T should flatter themselves either, sprint and verizon are far from perfect too.

AT&T original purpose for buying it in the first place, was to become bigger than Verizon, nothing more nothing less, they used all this talk about expansion just to cover it up, AT&T think they don’t have to do network upgrades for years and still remain number 1, and when they are dethroned, they think they can just buy another networking and become number 1 again, this time it failed. Now they have to expand like the rest of them “build from the ground up”
