The 5 Best Sprint Smartphones [December, 2012]

With AT&T and Verizon both out of the way, it’s now time to take a look at what we consider to be the five best Sprint smartphones available during the month of December, 2012.

Sprint has quickly emerged as the third largest 4G LTE provider in the United States behind Verizon and AT&T, respectively. Sprint launched its 4G LTE network in the middle part of 2012 and as of right now, boasts just shy of 50 4G LTE markets in the United States. The carrier is also the only major U.S. carrier left that provides truly unlimited data, a feature that is not available to customers looking for a new smartphone on a new network.

With an expanding 4G LTE network and pure unlimited data, Sprint is a destination that should be on the radar of shoppers across the United States. Helping matters is that it also has an array of attractive smartphones to bolster its new network.

2012 proved kind to Sprint customers new and old as the carrier unleashed a number of attractive devices for its brand-new 4G LTE network. That, while good, also makes finding the ideal smartphone extremely tougher than it once was. And for those that may be looking at Sprint as a carrier, we’re here to help.

Rather surprisingly, the list remains exactly the same as it was in November. Sprint, unlike some of its competitors, did not release any new big name smartphones during the month of November. Fortunately, that does not mean that there is a lack of good, solid options for its network. In fact, the five smartphones on the list are some of the best smartphones available for any carrier, let alone Sprint.

So without further ado, here are the five smartphones that we consider to be the five best smartphones available for Sprint’s network.

With its 4-inch Retina Display, fantastic rear camera, iOS 6, solid design and the ability to pull down truly unlimited data, this is an option that just about every shopper looking at Sprint must consider.

It also helps that Apple keeps the price of the iPhone 5 competitive. Sprint, like the other carriers, offers the iPhone 5 starting at $199 on-contract. That price nets a 16GB model.
