The Beatles Spotify Release Rumored This Week

Published

on

We could see a The Beatles Spotify release on Christmas Eve as part of a massive streaming deal that may bring the The Beatles streaming to your iPhone, iPad and Android across a variety of services including Spotify, Apple Music and others.

Although this is still unconfirmed, it looks like you may finally be able to stream The Beatles on Spotify without resorting to a tribute band to get your fix of one of the most well known bands still missing from streaming services.

You can already buy The Beatles digitally on multiple services including iTunes, but with the introduction of The Beatles streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer and Slacker it may soon be easier to listen to The Beatles anywhere, without buying the entire catalog.

We may see The Beatles Spotify and Apple Music release this week.

Currently the only legitimate place you will find The Beatles streaming is on Pandora, but this is not on-demand. That means you are listening more like traditional radio. If The Beatles Spotify release arrives this week, we expect that it will be on-demand so you can listen to your favorite The Beatles songs and albums as you want, and create your own playlists.

The rumors comes from Billboard, sourcing people with knowledge of the negotiations. One of the dates listed is December 24th, Christmas Eve, which could be when you can start playing Hey Jude on Spotify.

In the report Billboard does not identify a Beatles Spotify release date specifically, but their sources say that it is likely, “most, if not all,” streaming services are a part of the deal. There is no mention of The Beatles streaming on Google Play Music in the original article.

Spotify would not comment to Billboard on the rumor and other sources did not reply to the publication’s requests. Two of the biggest names in streaming are Spotify and Apple Music.

It’s not clear exactly when The Beatles Apple Music and Spotify streaming could start on Christmas Eve, but there is a good chance you’ll be streaming Hey Jude and Let it Be by Christmas morning.
