Nokia Lumia 1020 for AT&T

When Nokia first unveiled its PureView imaging technology inside the 808 PureView smartphone, most industry insiders called it a gimmick. When Nokia packed the technology into the Lumia 1020 Windows Phone most industry insiders took notice.

On the inside, the Lumia 1020, which is available exclusively to AT&T Mobility users for just $99.99 with a two-year contract, is a pretty standard flagship Windows Phone. There’s a decent front-facing camera for talking self-portraits and a spacious 4.5-inch display to look at your pictures with. Inside isn’t the most modern of processors; the Lumia 1020 has just a dual-core processor compared to the quad-core processor of most flagship smartphones these days.

The rear of the Lumia 1020 is where all the action is though. A giant camera pod on the back of the device houses some of the best camera optics to ever be available in a consumer smartphone. The Lumia 1020 has a bigger than average camera sensor that takes 41 mega pixel pictures. A motor inside the phone keeps pictures and video from coming out blurry because of hand movements. That’s backed up by a Xenon flash and one of the most customizable camera apps ever. Users can carry the phone by itself or purchase a camera grip that adds another battery and a shutter button.
