We cheated because we couldn't decide between these two iPhone models. And yes, we think consumers need to rule out the iPhone before buying their next smartphone, Android lover or not. The iPhone 4s is Apple's cheap option. It's being sold on-contract for free. It may not be the best that Apple has in stock but it's still a great phone and one that has the chance to improve with iOS 8. Apple's iPhone 5c isn't even a year old and already we've seen its price cut through retailers like Target. Unlike the iPhone 4s, it comes with Apple's 4-inch Retina Display, a plastic and colorful design, and some improved internals. It should get longer software support as well. These two iPhones are current and they're cheap and that's why we think they need to be considered during the month of May. | ||||||

“and software that has been regularly updated throughout its life span” … but it hasn’t been. The last update (4.3) was full of bugs and, 6 months later, we peasants who bought our S3s in 2012 still aren’t getting update 4.4. Samsung/Google seem to have a contemptuous attitude toward their customers.
