With the T-Mobile BlackBerry Z10 already available to business customers and AT&T confirming a March 22nd release date, it was only a matter of time before Verizon confirmed the release date for its version of the BlackBerry Z10 which it did today, tacking on a pre-order period in the build up to a March 28th release date.

Earlier this week, we saw T-Mobile offer up the BlackBerry Z10 to business customers in the U.S. And while consumers still have to wait, it shouldn’t be too long before the Magnenta carrier unleashes the phone for everyone else. We also saw AT&T confirm a release date for the BlackBerry Z10, saying that it would start to carry it on March 22nd.

With Sprint not offering the BlackBerry Z10, that left Verizon as the only BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry 10 launch partner in the U.S. not to announce release details for the smartphone.

Today, Verizon finally made its plans clear, saying that the BlackBerry Z10 would be heading to its network in March 28th, just a week shy of AT&T’s release date. However, those that want to make a commitment to the phone can do so early as the carrier has also revealed that it will start taking pre-orders for the phone starting at 8AM tomorrow.

The Verizon BlackBerry Z10 is heading to shelves on March 28th.

The pre-order period starts on the same day that Samsung will be announcing the Samsung Galaxy S4, its latest smartphone and one that the BlackBerry Z10 will likely be up against on Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

Like AT&T, Verizon will be charging $199.99 on-contract for the BlackBerry 10 powered device and that price will come at the expense of a new two-year agreement with the nation’s largest 4G LTE provider.

Verizon did announce any pricing or release date for the QWERTY-equipped BlackBerry Q10, which the carrier should start offering some time later this year.

The BlackBerry Z10 is BlackBerry’s all-touch BlackBerry 10 smartphone and it comes with a number of high-end features including a spacious HD display, speedy processor, 8MP camera and of course, BlackBerry’s new OS, BlackBerry 10.

I always liked Iphones, tough I never had one. I am not very Hi-tech guy, I’m more of a business guy and a own an auto dismantling wrecking yard. So I always had a BlackBerry phones, the main reason is because they are very durable and almost indestructible I have drop my phone in the water a couple times and still works. I have seen, read, heard that the I phones they scratch, brake very easily even with a cover. This have been my main reason of not getting an I phone, I could be very clumsy at times and because of the type of business I have there is lots situations that the phone could get damage or drop. Is the new BlackBerry offers the same type of durability on the Z10?? I currently have an old Torch….

The BlackBerry Z10 is clearly a device that has been built around the operating system and shows BlackBerry’s efforts to fit in with a market tilting constantly to oversized, touchscreen heavy and sleekly designed handsets. And if you have decided to become a proud owner of this device, perhaps you’re in the market for a solid and beautiful protection case as well.
