Verizon HTC One Release Date Finally Confirmed

Published

on

After months of speculation and rumors, the Verizon HTC One release date is finally confirmed and set in stone for next week, bringing the aluminum HTC One to Verizon’s 4G LTE network and an eager group of Verizon shoppers.

The Verizon HTC One release date is August 22nd in stores and online, and the 32GB model will arrive with an attractive $199 price for users on a two-year contract, offering more storage than the similarly priced 16GB Galaxy S4.

Verizon announced the HTC One in June, soon after the popular Android device arrived on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, leading consumers to expect a swift launch, but due to various setbacks Verizon and HTC delayed the release until August.

The Verizon HTC One release date is confirmed for August 22nd.

Verizon started taking sign ups for the Verizon HTC One earlier this week, and is still asking users to enter information on a landing page. The Verizon HTC One release date confirmation comes from the official Verizon Twitter account, which shares the details. It doesn’t look like there will be any Verizon HTC One pre-order, so users can go straight to purchasing the HTC One when it lands on Verizon’s website and in retail locations next week.

The Verizon HTC One features the same aluminum unibody design that led us to give the HTC One a Gotta Be Mobile Editor’s Choice award earlier this year, and includes HTC Sense 5 with BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe.

The HTC One features a 4MP Ultrapixel camera, which may sound like a small size, but it actually uses large pixels to capture great looking photos. There are many modes for the HTC One camera including HTC Zoe which shoots a short video and numerous photos with one push of the button to capture moments many other smartphone cameras would miss. It can also take slow motion video, remove unwanted users from a photo and much more. Check out the HTC One camera versus the Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 for more.

The HTC BlinkFeed tool sits on the homescreen, delivering customized news and social updates to the user without the need to open up other apps. BlinkFeed is a part of Sense 5, HTC’s Android skin, that delivers a look not found on the Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy S4 or other Android devices.

One benefit to the late launch is the wide variety of HTC One cases and HTC One accessories already available for the smartphone. The HTC One arrives just as attention shifts to the HTC One Max, a larger version designed to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

I just had a movie-like daydream that Verizon took so long to release the HTC One because they wanted a longer lasting battery installed in their version of the phone, and it took time to work out the logistics of that. Knowing Verizon though, I just found the plot wholly unbelievable though, so I walked out in the middle of the show.

You bastard!! You just killed Adam!! The release date and the price were literally the ONLY 2 DETAILS LEFT he could have reported on and you stole it from him. He’s dealt with trolls for 2 months, so upset waiting for the VZW HTC One that they took it out on him and now this… Josh, if Adam harms himself, it’s all your fault!!!

Just kidding. He probably is going to flatten your tires though.

Finally some actual news to break on the HTC One release, and Adam Mills doesn’t even get to do it. He’ll literally never have an article with some legitimately new information, will he?
