Verizon Nexus 6 Release Date Rumored
A Verizon Nexus 6 release date has finally emerged thanks to some new rumors after the device has been available for nearly two months and launched on all other major carriers. Google’s impressive Android 5.0 Lollipop powered Nexus 6 has been available in the United States since November after being unveiled as a device coming to all US carriers, but it’s still missing on one, Verizon. Today new reports and rumors have emerged about a possible Verizon Nexus 6 release date.
The new Nexus 6 was announced back on October 15th along with the Nexus 9 tablet, a Nexus Player, and the completely redesigned and improved Android 5.0 Lollipop software update. After pre-orders started, Sprint released it first after a delay by T-Mobile, then AT&T, and finally US Cellular released it in early December.

As it stands right now the Nexus 6 is available from Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and US Cellular, with one major and extremely important carrier holding out. Verizon will also offer the Nexus 6, at least according to Google back in October, but absolutely no release date details have arrived. Today though, the Verizon Nexus 6 release date has been rumored.
According to a few anonymous sources it looks like Verizon is finally set to deliver two important and popular Android smartphones to its network now that 2015 is officially here. Those being the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and of course the Google and Motorola-made Nexus 6 smartphone.
The Nexus 6 was released in November, and the last rumors and news suggested December 13th would be the Verizon Nexus 6 release date. Of course, that came and went with no release date, details, leaks, or any information for prospective buyers. Those waiting for the Nexus 6 on Verizon have been left out in the cold, and continue to be left out except for the leak we’ve found this afternoon.
Sources close to Verizon Wireless have confirmed the Verizon Nexus 6 release date is scheduled for “mid-February” but that’s the only small details found thus far. Meaning the device is already nearly two months behind the other carriers, and the wait could be another two months. If true, the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, and many other flagship devices will be on the way, and this will likely sway many would-be buyers to wait for new devices.

The Galaxy Nexus was the last Nexus smartphone to be released on Verizon Wireless, and since then we’ve seen multiple impressive Nexus smartphones released by Google made available to all carriers but Verizon. They’ve never offered another Nexus smartphone, until now, but don’t look to be handling it too well.
Prospective buyers waiting for the Verizon Nexus 6 could be in for a long wait, if they haven’t bought one already. It’s worth nothing the Nexus 6 from any other carrier, the Google Play Store, or from Motorola.com all work on Verizon Wireless right now. Users just can’t get it on a new 2-year contract, and can’t register a new SIM card for use with the Nexus 6.
Meaning those who’d rather not wait for Verizon to finally get around to offering the Nexus 6 can buy it from Motorola or Google, and simply drop in an already activated Micro-SIM from Verizon, and have no issues.
Again the Nexus 6 is $649 for the 32GB version and $699 for the 64GB option, making it rather expensive, so most buyers are holding out for a Verizon release in order to use an eligible upgrade. This is the only set information we’ve heard regarding a Verizon Nexus 6 release date, and will update as more details become available.

The Nexus 6 takes a nano sim card, NOT a micro sim card. If you already have an activated micro sim card for Verizon, it can be cut down to nano size to work in the Nexus 6. You can find info on how to do this through a simple Google search. I am positive about this, because I own a Nexus 6 and use it on Verizon.

Great review. Wish I saw it before I upgraded. My upgrade was a disaster with a complete reduction in performance and battery. Will never allow automatic updates again without checking reviews such as this. Downgrading to KitKat was difficult but worth it.

Your headline promises the release date of the Nexus 6 but your substanceless, time-wasting, filler-ridden artilcle withholds the info you promised until the 6th from the last pasubstance. You even used text at the beginning of the article suggesting imminent disclosure of the release date only to leave a link to nowhere, just in case someone doubted your douchebaggery. Well done.
