5 Reasons to Wait for the Moto G8 & 3 Reasons Not to

Wait For a Better Screen

Wait For a Better Screen

Typically cheap phones have old and outdated software, bad cameras, and always a pretty terrible screen. That's the easiest area to save money and release a cheap phone.

That said, Motorola's Moto G lineup always walks that line carefully, and ensures the experience is good instead of compromising on everything. The Moto G7 last year had a decent 6.2-inch screen, but we're expecting something even better from the Moto G8.

It looks like this year the Moto G8 will come in at 6.4-inches, so just a little bigger than the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S20, all while offering a 720p HD screen. It's not 1080p, but it'll still look good. Most notably, it won't have a notch of any kind in the screen. Instead, they'll opt for the cut-out style and cut a small circle out of the top corner for the front camera.

We've seen this is expensive phones like the Galaxy Note 10, but not something that'll likely be around $249. It's pretty impressive, really.
