One thing that always bothered some people about the original Watch Dogs was Aiden Pearce's justification for killing and shooting police officers and almost anyone that got in his way. At the time, Ubisoft was able to explain it away; Aiden was clearly desperate and willing to do just about anything to stop the people that had harmed his family.
In Watch Dogs 2, gamers would have asked that same question. Rather than make Marcus unhinged, Ubisoft Montreal focused on enabling different play styles. According to the studio, players can make it through the game's missions without having to shoot someone. Less violent options means that players can set their own tone for their version of Marcus. |
